Location: Coral islands
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
“Coral islands” is a new location for naval battles in update 1.87. Let’s have a look!
In our new location “Coral islands”, fleet vessels and aircraft will battle for control over an atoll in the Pacific.
While light cruisers and destroyers will be engaging each other outside the ring of rocks, patrol and motor torpedo boats will be fighting in the centre of the atoll: aggressive maneuvers, artillery tracers and wakes of deadly torpedoes.
Let’s enjoy breathtaking views of the pacific nature and look forward to the new update 1.87 “Locked on!” - coming soon!

Question. I noticed a lot of shallow water from the last picture. Can ships go through them? (They can't from other maps so I hope it's the same here)
depends how fast and what draught your boat has XD get a couple of G5s too tow a Pr159 inside the ring lol
SWEEET another map too terrorize peeps on
And yet again huge step forward into further establishing War Thunder as a more ARCADE game than the games from Wargaming. Splendid work!
in what way there are no healthbars detection range system diffrent damage for same guns for balanced totally custom reloads fake ships unrealistic damage models unrealistic armor do i need to add more
chrkiiler, game has none of these things unlike a certain wows
:/ Smells like shooting eachother from spawn again...
If the repair costs stays as in the dev server, 5,000-7,000 for cruisers, this is going to be an amazing update for naval fans... i'm sure LOTS of players will come back to play! Not only because of the new vessels and maps, but also due to the repair cost fix.
lol no
igeticsu, lol yes
You could also use this in an AIR AB map as well. 2 maps with one map? Hmmm??
Will we possibly get a combined arms variant of Midway and Wake Island possibly?
Can you guys like, actually design and IMPLEMENT new game modes please? These bigger ships are just going to be even MORE useless on island heavy 3 point capture maps.
Another arcadey map. Naval gameplay continues to be not fun and not realistic either.
Don't you mean coral sea?
