We’re pleased to share with you our new tone mapping system which is being implemented in update 1.91 “Night Vision” making the game appear softer and slightly less saturated.
Dear friends,
War Thunder update 1.91 “Night Vision” is almost upon us, and today, we’d like to talk a little about some of the visual features that will be waiting for you when the update lands.
At the moment, we’re working on HDR monitor support (monitors capable of showing a high dynamic range of the visuals), and as part of this preparation, we are going to introduce a new tone mapping system in update 1.91. The updated tone mapping will make the game appear a little softer and more “cinematic”, as all colour conversions are to be completed in the HDR range. The game will support changes to the temperatures of colour (warm, cool, etc), depending on the time of day and weather. In addition, the new tone mapping system works slightly faster than the previous one.
Check out a few screenshots taken with the new tone mapping system. The beauty you see will be on your own monitor very soon, so stay tuned!

Is it tommorow orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I don't think so since the new PS4 packs haven't been released
All answers (1)*EmyR_11, PS4 packs don't mean anything. Gromvoiny (Store Team) said this: "No, it's not what I said. It's bad if we release the packs but there is no patch. However, it's okay and it happened a lot of times before when the patch is released, but PS Store packs come out only a week later or so. We don't postpone the update just because we can't release PS Store packs together with it."
Nice! Hope to see the update soon, but first fix all the issues that were found on the dev server :)
Is there any planned changes to the in-game bloom system that causes horrendous visibility upon facing the camera anywhere other than the sky (especially during sunsets, causing one team to be essentially blind without using lower graphics)? It looks awful & also causes serious imbalance under certain lighting conditions and also isn’t even toggleable without completely dropping your graphics settings :/
I hope they do....but u know komrade thats too much work
unbalanced gameplay due to natural causes is not bad, it's realistic, because war is unbalanced. The time when two armies agreed to face on another on field as if it were a game of chess are long gone.
I can't wait for only 5% of the player base to experience this because everyone else is playing on ULQ.
Honestly if you can't run this game in 2019 almost 2020 then you shouldn't be gaming at all, period.
When ULQ be put out of the game? I play on high setings, and in Tank battle most time i'm hit by oponent who see thru bushes fences and trees. How many computers in 2019 cannot run this game on normal setings, even my 10 yers laptop can run on High, If not, please make button "I don't watn play with ULQ players" I may wait litle longer, beter this then hit on spown from second spown becose ULQ cheating
I must be getting old or going blind.
nvm I see the difference now, the slidey thing moves side to side. So just senile.
GJ 👍 this is a very nice Patch (so far)
it would be nice if we could know when the update comes out
