New clouds for air battles
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
In War Thunder update 1.89 “"Imperial Navy” we are improving the clouds in aircraft battles at high graphical settings.
Hello everyone!
We are getting ready for War Thunder update 1.89 “Imperial Navy” - it will be introduced very soon. Today we want to show you how clouds will change in aircraft or helicopter battles at the graphical settings “Movie” and “Max”. Technically, our developers have been able to increase the integration steps for clouds rendering by 4 times whilst avoiding visible FPS changes.
New clouds for air battles will appear in the game with update 1.89 “Imperial Navy”. To see the new clouds, you have to switch graphical settings to “Movie” or “Maximum”, or have SSAO enabled to maximum.

Does the color of the sky mean anything special to you?
hell no
Is it just me or did they only put anti aliasing on clouds? D:
now we just need shadow and reflection fixes and tree collision models to be improved for both Air and Ground cause some tree can not exist at all or (in Vietnams case) have them far too large for what they are
Now they need to remove night battles and we will be all set.
Gentlemen, I see no improvement in this new cloud renderer! Actually, the right side (Old?) Looks much better than left (new).
Is the king naked?
Clouds now all we are missing is new allied Supersonic to fly through them....
type 10 also if someone comes hate spam me the type 16 which is gonna be added to war thunder has a production date of 2015 so don't say type 10 cant be added it also wouldn't be op because it doesen't have thermal vision or any thing else come on add it please
Because the Type 16 has no secret armor values. It's just some metal, because it's and IFV. And for the ammo well i don't know how. Maybe they are gonna use the DM23 for it??
Apart from that if the Type 10 were to be added, I suggest you wait a long time. Because the by the Type 10 gets added we will see the T-14 Armata and M1A2 ;)
Can you still see planes 10 kilometers away through the clouds? I sure hope not.
Well.... if you have radar ;)
War_Gaming_NL, You don't need radar atm to see planes through clouds. You see black spots in a background of white, really easy to spot.
Nice, but when are you going to update gameplay from the same old rinse and repeat worthless missions that haven't changed since 2012?
Why did y'all change the old cloulds from ages ago? They were puffy and cute and stuff!
