Ni hao, dear friends!
We’re pleased to announce a new nation making their entry into War Thunder update 1.91 - China! One of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich and dramatic historical background, especially during the 20th century.
The initial line-up of Chinese vehicles available in War Thunder features tanks, fighter aircraft and bombers which were used during World World II and shortly thereafter, and will show just how turbulent the history of the country’s military in the 20th century was. Players will be able to pilot aircraft employed by foreign volunteers from the Flying Tigers regiment which helped China fight against Imperial Japan, make use of captured Japanese vehicles, and command military imports from the USSR, as well as local variants of Soviet MiG jets and American Patton tanks (which formed part of China’s military).
Each vehicle in War Thunder’s initial Chinese vehicle tree was historically used by the nation of China at some point. The Henschel Hs 123A-1, for example, was imported by the Chinese Nationalist forces from Germany, and was used against the Imperial Japanese Navy during battles at the Yangtze river.
Immediately after the release of update 1.91 “Night Vision”, all players will gain access to an initial selection of Chinese ground-force vehicles and aircraft.
Players who wish to gain access to the entire Chinese tech tree as fast as possible can do so by fulfilling a series of in-game tasks in War Thunder, or by purchasing one of the Chinese pre-order packs that include a premium vehicle, in-game currency, premium account time, and cosmetic items. One of the packs will grant access to the aircraft tech tree, and the other one will open the ground vehicles tech tree.

First few days after the 1.91 release: CHINA, Civil War!
Holy damn, Gaijin, this patch gets better with each day. Still more coming?
Oh yeah, you can grind for all the vehicles you already have. i nother tech trees. sO gOoD!1!1!!!
perfect!!!!!!!!! I really love you Gaijin!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh finally Gaijin, this will be a breaking news for the peoples who looking for China,.Yep, just like me:) I'm been looking for China tech tree 3 years long. 3 years! I'm gonna cry ;) (not really)) By the way, this year marks the 70th anniversary People's Republic of China. Happy birthday for PRC !
So, you've been waiting 3 years for a 2nd soviet tech tree?
General_Stalker, No, he was waiting 3 years for a 2nd soviet and 2nd american tech tree.
Initially I was going to say something semi-rude and sarcastic about Chinese copycats, but this tree might actually be perfect for introducing friends into the game.
How do you plan on adding china to Sim, especially, tanks in sim. There are both american and russian tanks in the tech tree but china will most likely be on one side, probably on the russian side. this is gonna create a lot of confusion with the american tanks for example, especially with tanks like the M60 and the M113 TOW. This is gonna create a lot of friendly fire issues, and people already have been complaining about captured tanks in SB, ie german kv1, russian pz3 etc.
So Japan gets backups denied due to "People don't want copy paste vehicles" and then BAMM you add an entire tree of copy pastes!!!! Hypocrisy!!!
The bigger problem is that the Italians are getting a 3rd - THIRD - Ariete while Japan is being denied a second Type 90.
normally I don't comment on devblogs, but this is bad. A huge majority of the community doesn't want copy paste trees. You chose to listen to a handful of people who wanted the Chinese tree who were probably just kids who don't know what they're talking about.
Chinese lights, high tier mediums and their heavies are very interesting to adults, maybe you should become one.
This is appalling, this is beyond unacceptable. A copy paste/regurgitated tech tree, featuring vehicles that are either currently rare - or doesn't exist in native trees at all. Disgusting.
Exactly, all the vehicles that don't exist in native trees are copy-pasted to the Chinese one.... :D Keep in mind that many of them are indeed special variants that were modified by the Chinese and they will get more indigenous models later. I don't see the big problem. I welcome the Chinese tree and plan to play it at some point in the future.
add swedish tech tree instead
