This "Shells in the damage model now have volumetric dimensions/sizes corresponding to the real size of the shell." was sooo long overdue, patch was totally worth it thanks to this change alone!
Yes, it's a big change :)
Heading out now to see if a Dicker Max 105 round into the turret of a KV-1 still does APCR-level post-pen damage...
Submarines?
Ponies?
I'm yet to see a patch devblog where people stop asking for dumb things. Submarines? really?
Still no tank only mode... Hell you even made helicopters even more difficult to shoot down with "A laser detection system has been added for the following helicopters: "....... Bring back the fun of tank battles! Constantly getting bombed or missiles by aircrafts and helis you can do nothing against is just not fun whatsoever.
stop with this tank only mode, it will be boring.
GetoDac, Stop coplaining, Tank only would not be that fun, The main appeal aof war thunder is combined arms, if you can't take being bombed every once in a while then don't play this game and play WOT. (Shivers)

I was just about to say that
They repaired it already.
Usually I say "nice" or give a compliment to whenever an update is released, but this one feels underwhelming and boring. There's not much content, it seems that you pushed for BVR missiles to be added to "save it" at the cost of leaving the MiG-23 behind. The R-3R is terrible.
In general there's not much content and it was unfair to leave out the MiG-23, SARH could've just waited until it was ready. Some of the new vehicles are also bugged, like the Su-7BKL is missing its RATO and flares, the Jaguar A is also missing flares and the AIM-9G should have 18G load, etc.. not complaining, just giving feedback. I hope next update will be something to look at.
This update focuses more on improvements, fixes, mechanics and other long requested developments. There are several heavily requested vehicles and a number of general game quality of life changes. The community have asked for some time to see more of this. We just had 3 vehicle content heavy updates back to back.
Thank you for working on game dynamics. I'm telling you right now I have spoken to many people both through my clan, and my streaming community, we are all in agreement. BIGGER maps for all BR's especially top tier. This applies to ALL game modes! a few reasons for this, some are common sense. Spawn camping is KILLING the games functionality. A bigger map with random spawn points on each side would eliminate this MAJOR flaw in the game.
it would also allow for teams to "enter" the map into divided groups, make spawn to spawn shooting almost if not impossible. (also a huge problem) Often times people don't even play the objectives and go for PvP, which is fine to a point... it makes the matches bland and rather boring after a while. The objectives need to reward more for playing, which as I understand was just reduced even more. I also understand that you have reduced match times to decrease waiting times.
This in return makes the matches feel "arcade" in nature, and un-important. Have you considered allowing us to create our own game modes (not Custom Matches) where we can join a match that we could enjoy, much like your events? I could create a Sheman vs Tiger themed match and people could join in and know exactly what to expect? or the people crying about CAS could set up a match with no AIR just tanks.. (I don't mind CAS in my tank matches but to each there own and that's the idea).
YAY the update is released!
This tiny update didn't deliver the Stug IV, I was hoping for. Don't like that Chi-Ha Long Gun. Well, Back to mid-tier-ing ....
Raiden_Black, Why don't you rejoice in what it DOES bring instead of focus on all it didnt bring?
No swordfish with RATO modification...?
The RATO mechanic is there in the game for arado, me 262 and a few others, no reason why swordfish shouldnt get one too...even for 5 seconds will be a game changer....
TeaBoi, Gaijin's reply would probably be that those were added to allow them to even take off on the super short runways they had in the game at the time. Not for actual historical accuracy.
Love the ability to cycle secondary weapons, but could we have an option to keep primary weapons as default buttons when the weapon cycle mode is active?
"Full Italian helicopter tech tree is in development..." yup sure it is buddy
