Ni hao, dear friends!
We’re pleased to announce a new nation making their entry into War Thunder update 1.91 - China! One of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich and dramatic historical background, especially during the 20th century.
The initial line-up of Chinese vehicles available in War Thunder features tanks, fighter aircraft and bombers which were used during World World II and shortly thereafter, and will show just how turbulent the history of the country’s military in the 20th century was. Players will be able to pilot aircraft employed by foreign volunteers from the Flying Tigers regiment which helped China fight against Imperial Japan, make use of captured Japanese vehicles, and command military imports from the USSR, as well as local variants of Soviet MiG jets and American Patton tanks (which formed part of China’s military).
Each vehicle in War Thunder’s initial Chinese vehicle tree was historically used by the nation of China at some point. The Henschel Hs 123A-1, for example, was imported by the Chinese Nationalist forces from Germany, and was used against the Imperial Japanese Navy during battles at the Yangtze river.
Immediately after the release of update 1.91 “Night Vision”, all players will gain access to an initial selection of Chinese ground-force vehicles and aircraft.
Players who wish to gain access to the entire Chinese tech tree as fast as possible can do so by fulfilling a series of in-game tasks in War Thunder, or by purchasing one of the Chinese pre-order packs that include a premium vehicle, in-game currency, premium account time, and cosmetic items. One of the packs will grant access to the aircraft tech tree, and the other one will open the ground vehicles tech tree.

for all I know, most Chinese players are also opposed.
About time we're getting this nation imo. Technically it was already part of the game but on the Chinese server though I don't know if the vehicles are exactly the same; probably of course took a bit of rewriting to put on a different set of servers. Even though a lot of the early-mid rank vehicles are already on other nations I don't mind it too much since it is historical. Also of course higher rank vehicles are more original and I'm ready to get to them. lol
You know, if you took all of the other nations' vehicles from the Chinese tree, and put them into their original trees, you could probably have decompressed BR and diversity at each BR. forget China, these vehicles would be better placed elsewhere.
Meh only cool things are spaas and the t34-85 with Dshk
So, does this mean that China will ALWAYS side with the US/UK? if so then good.... Because then we wont have to rely on the soviets and french in order to have a fighting chance against everyone else. Thats a step in the right direction I suppose, its also nice to see China FINALLY being added despite Gaijin saying "no" in the past..... Also: China will be generous.
Research points will need to be reduced again across the board
Welcome, China, to the Thunder. Love the Flying Tigers, not so much the rest. Thus, yet another tech tree I won't be playing, like the Post-WW2 Soviet, WW2 Japanese, Italian, or German, and any era's French, but welcome all the same. The learning curve in taking you out won't be severe, as you have German, US and Soviet knock-off's and we already know how to beat them, but as I said, welcome to the Thunder. Hopefully, 1.91 brings us China and a more Era/possible Era-based BR system.
Nice copy pasting Gaijin.
Actually,Chna in WW2 cant make anything in local, because goverment s change and another reason,so in this Chinese tech tree has soooo much same car is right, because this is the history, and when China finish the world war 2,PRC has been stood up, they made too much himselfs car, like ZTZ88 ZTZ96 ZTZ99,so dont be anngry for same car, because more better things will given u when u get more high BR,and u will have more fun in game. Good luck guys, have fun!
well done gaijin! ive been waiting for China for 2 years!
Waiting for what exactly? Copy and pastes?
