Ni hao, dear friends!
We’re pleased to announce a new nation making their entry into War Thunder update 1.91 - China! One of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich and dramatic historical background, especially during the 20th century.
The initial line-up of Chinese vehicles available in War Thunder features tanks, fighter aircraft and bombers which were used during World World II and shortly thereafter, and will show just how turbulent the history of the country’s military in the 20th century was. Players will be able to pilot aircraft employed by foreign volunteers from the Flying Tigers regiment which helped China fight against Imperial Japan, make use of captured Japanese vehicles, and command military imports from the USSR, as well as local variants of Soviet MiG jets and American Patton tanks (which formed part of China’s military).
Each vehicle in War Thunder’s initial Chinese vehicle tree was historically used by the nation of China at some point. The Henschel Hs 123A-1, for example, was imported by the Chinese Nationalist forces from Germany, and was used against the Imperial Japanese Navy during battles at the Yangtze river.
Immediately after the release of update 1.91 “Night Vision”, all players will gain access to an initial selection of Chinese ground-force vehicles and aircraft.
Players who wish to gain access to the entire Chinese tech tree as fast as possible can do so by fulfilling a series of in-game tasks in War Thunder, or by purchasing one of the Chinese pre-order packs that include a premium vehicle, in-game currency, premium account time, and cosmetic items. One of the packs will grant access to the aircraft tech tree, and the other one will open the ground vehicles tech tree.

A lot of vehicles are the same as what we played in other nations, so how will they be different form the ones that we already have? To be honest i don't care if they have the same stats cause that would be fair, but then again some people want new stuff so how different will the chinese vehicles be from their counterparts?
Well, as they stated, they have some that they got from other nations, but they did make their own as well. A MiG is a MiG, be it in the russian, german, or chinese tree, so there are some limits to how different they can be in that case
They will have a pretty sticker on them with a premium price tag...
April has come and passed. I'm spooked.
HOLY GOD
This is soo shitty
9 tanks are new the rest are copy and paste. Really Gaijin
It's time to say good bye to War Thunder, China and stupidly early mach 2 jets. Despite any marketing poison you can throw at us, you never listen your community for a better healthy game. And when you you think you done it, you understand it wrong because of stuborn arrogance. Enough of this insane mess , im done.
Noone listen to whiners
Fungusar_DK, sorry but you have the D U M B
Why isn't Sweden coming? Is it planned at 1.93 or 1.95?
Not enough Swedes and those who would love the Swedish TT to make a lot of money for the Gaijiiiiin. A LOT of Chinese, though
BabyWarLove, not only Swedes are interested in getting Swedish vehicles, you know
So Taiwanese tanks and aircraft are included too? M60's and Sabre's etc. A mishmash of German, Japanese, British, US, USSR and Chinese equipment. Yikes! Surely the Chinese used some French and Italian stuff somewhere at sometime. That would really round out this League of Nations tech tree.
Taiwanese used French Mirages.
Wow.. So many carbon copies.. Yeah why add Sweden that actually has UNIQUE tanks AND aircraft AND ships.. When you can make a carbon copy from all other nations and put into one tree.. So much effort.. lol Whatever..
Exactly.. I was so hyped for Sweden to be added.. All this wait for nothing
I'm sure it will come. It was inevitable that we got China tree on our servers since they already exists. This is an every developing game and has more updates, fixes and content added than any other game I've seen.
We get this copy paste tree with literally no Chinese designed vehicles (because from the looks of it there's no 80's+ vehicles) yet you refuse to do an Israeli tree? That would have more Israeli designed/built vehicles than this Chinese tree? What are you doing Gaijin, even Sweden would be a better alternative.
They didn't refuse, they just didn't do it yet. How hard is that to understand. Nobody doubts that moving the Chinese tree from the Chinese client was a lot easier than creating a whole new nation, that is why it is coming with this patch that is called "night vision" not "the marching dragon". Sweden will come, Israel will likely come etc. etc. in time. Usually new nations are released at the end of the year, so you still have some hopes for Sweden or any other nation.
SaekoB, I really doubt israel will be added, it way too much of a political dumpster fire
i really hoped Sweden whould come before. oh well.
