The Be-6 is an all-metal, gull-winged flying boat, designed in the post war period in the Soviet Union to perform a wide variety of maritime missions. After having enjoyed a long service life in the real world, this flying gunship is now preparing to take off from the seas and oceans of War Thunder as well!

The BMP-1 was the first vehicle of its kind. It was developed by the Soviet Union in the postwar period to fit a new take on existing combat doctrines, modernized for a new age of warfare.

Serving primarily with the USMC during the Vietnam War, the M50 Ontos didn’t just earn a formidable reputation for looking scary, but also because of its deadly effectiveness in the precarious jungle environment of the Asian South East.

In War Thunder’s “New Era” update, we introduce a new location for combined battles – the Fulda Gap

Developed from a need to counter a new weapon from the other side of the Iron Curtain, the MBT-70 and the KPz-70 were the result of a joint effort between engineers from West Germany and the United States that attempted to create a brand new, high-tech MBT design by combining their resources and experience.

After undergoing modernization efforts in the ‘70s to prolong its service life, the upgraded M60A1 (RISE) became the final old school US MBT that would be fielded, before newer, more modern tank designs would make their appearance.

Developed in the early 1960s, the T-64 was the first tank in the world to feature composite armour protection and was, in many ways, a revolutionary design that would not only kick off development of the next generation of Soviet tanks, but would also announce the dawn of a new era of tank development.
