We present to you a new location for combined battles - “Sweden”! It will appear in the game with the release of the update 1.97 “Viking Fury”.
Especially for the release of the Swedish ground forces research tree our artists have created a new location for combined battles which we have named “Sweden”.
The source of the inspiration came from one of Stockholm’s districts - Gamla Stan (“old town”). In the new location you will see a small Scandinavian town with unique architecture and the Northern European aesthetics from the middle of the 20th century. Battles will take place in the vicinity of the city park: along the city embankment, in small blocks with traditional buildings, in green avenues and on tram rails, in the pedestrian area of the park with rotunda gazebo in the centre.
We tried to maintain a balance between short and medium distance fights as well as to provide each capture point with a large number of possible entrances. As for any city map for combined battles aircraft will have to work from low altitudes for the most accurate bombing and rocket strikes.
We will discover the picturesque streets of “Sweden” soon in War Thunder update 1.97. See you on the battlefield!

And cars on screenshots look older than 1967 - so their steering wheels should be on the right side! Sweden switched from driving on the left-hand side of the road to the right in 1967.

Thats true, we need more maps like fulda, and about helicopters, u guys just suck i think, time to pick SPAA. Ka-50 and some helis are just OP shit not because helis are op, because helis are from 2000+ year when tanks not, this is gaijin fault, they prefer to add poo maps, unbalanced things like ka-50, and broke the game than fixing bugs, good maps and more vehicles in actually trees, nope we just need another useless copy paste tree.

As a Swede... ehh... this doesn't really look like a Swedish city... Just random layout of random buildings with a slight turn towards Swedish architecture... Doesn't even look like Swedish landscape... Got some northern style mountains but they're kinda further inland... You could just have made a real location rather than some mess supposed to represent a whole damn country...
Gaijin has no idea what the outside world looks like really. Every map they make looks like its taken from some bizarro alternative universe, especially cities where they just plonk down random buildings wherever they like and dont really look at how cities really are structured. This map really just looks like Port Novo + Advance to the Rhine, with just not completely blasted buildings. This is going immediately to the list of disliked in map rotation. Running out of dislikes to give tho...
BuffDrinkLots, Yeah, it would be nice with another 5 bans and 10-15 dislikes per person to give that feature any meaningful impact on improving one's fun. =/
I will just alt F4 in loading, wont even bother with sh**ty 10 square nano metres maps. Why are you so lazy to do some Swedish countryside map?
