Ni hao, dear friends!
We’re pleased to announce a new nation making their entry into War Thunder update 1.91 - China! One of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich and dramatic historical background, especially during the 20th century.
The initial line-up of Chinese vehicles available in War Thunder features tanks, fighter aircraft and bombers which were used during World World II and shortly thereafter, and will show just how turbulent the history of the country’s military in the 20th century was. Players will be able to pilot aircraft employed by foreign volunteers from the Flying Tigers regiment which helped China fight against Imperial Japan, make use of captured Japanese vehicles, and command military imports from the USSR, as well as local variants of Soviet MiG jets and American Patton tanks (which formed part of China’s military).
Each vehicle in War Thunder’s initial Chinese vehicle tree was historically used by the nation of China at some point. The Henschel Hs 123A-1, for example, was imported by the Chinese Nationalist forces from Germany, and was used against the Imperial Japanese Navy during battles at the Yangtze river.
Immediately after the release of update 1.91 “Night Vision”, all players will gain access to an initial selection of Chinese ground-force vehicles and aircraft.
Players who wish to gain access to the entire Chinese tech tree as fast as possible can do so by fulfilling a series of in-game tasks in War Thunder, or by purchasing one of the Chinese pre-order packs that include a premium vehicle, in-game currency, premium account time, and cosmetic items. One of the packs will grant access to the aircraft tech tree, and the other one will open the ground vehicles tech tree.

From what I can tell it's a copy paste of American and Russian tanks with only few uniquely Chinese tanks. Same with the Aircraft tech tree. So sad
Glad to see both Chinas are included.
CLASSIC MOVE GAIJIN. Instead of fixing existing crap, just add more stuff with more premiums. And best part is that 90% of players are stupid as beetroots and won't even notice it. BRAVO GUYS
Please go ask a modeler or a graphics artist to fix code bugs and get laughed at and shamed into a corner. If you don't understand the basics of development you should remain quiet.
I was hoping Sweden, but this is nice. Chinese vehicles are cool, and hopefully this will help high tier SB queue times.
yeah and create multiple friendly fire kills each battle lol
Adding more countries do not make the game better and fun more. France and Italy yes, they were acceptable but China will be a very unnecessary piece, I think.
NO. Actually there are 3 China vehicles in Warthunder already. And the top ranks and sub-top ranks of China might have many interesting vehicles in the future because there are so many modifications and special vehicles. You cannot imagine the number of the types of CN AFVs.
APAKOHZiye, Where is sweden
Looks a bit like a best of of most other tech trees to me. Who ever thought, that you could take a m18, t 34 85, type 65 and p 47 together with a ki into a battle all at the same time.
More ROC verticals please, no more PRC!!!

You know Gaijin Entertainment is a Russian company, right?
I understand Chinese players will be happy and that's likely to be a great commercial move for Gaijin. For everyone else, the only interest would be to grind vehicles which were only available in events or through the marketplace. For everyone else, it's going to be a complete waste of time. Wouldn't it have been better for the game to have added true supersonic jets to the UK and France, or light tanks or wheeled vehicles?
I'm not Chinese and I'm excited, mostly for the late stuff, but I don't mind grinding through the tree, I like most of Soviet/Russian tanks so it's going to be fun regardless.
Why the grumbling? Don't forget China was on the front line fighting fascists while we in the west were appeasing them. I think this is great - China was given a lot of aircraft deemed obsolete, which are not in other tech trees - I hope to see some of those which could then be "copy and pasted" additions back to the US, British and Soviet trees.
Please, learn your history before commenting like that. Not all of us are CCP servants as you are.
Simulator tank will be a nightmare now.
