Welcome to a new location for naval battles - "Aleutian Islands", that we plan to add to the game with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire
The volcanic Aleutian Islands archipelago, located between Alaska and Kamchatka, became the target of Japan's diversionary operation to capture Midway during World War II. It is here, with the release of the Raining Fire update, battles between naval vessels and aircraft of War Thunder will begin. The harsh northern climate has made this archipelago almost lifeless with only the sea, rocks and rare vegetation. Amongst this grim beauty you will find a small naval base with a maintenance dock, a lighthouse and a few rare buildings.
The relief of the interior of the archipelago is replete with rocks and small islands, where only smaller motor boats can pass. Destroyers feel comfortable at some distance from the main group of islands - from there they can attack both the coastal zone and targets out at sea.
You will be able to meet the challenge in the new and interesting location "Aleutian Islands" very soon with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire.

Pretty neat map. Needs some big fat lazy seals on those islands to make them authentic lol.
Stona, you'd want to see seals too right?
With sound effects!!
Very pretty, but where are the penguins?
yay penguins please
penguins near the arctic circle?
It's a nice map, but I mean.. it's naval. I feel like we could have gotten a new ground or air map instead
you know some of us play and enjoy naval you know
bilbosfrodos, I love the naval gameplay, but the economy is terrible, not gonna grind out 380k xp at just only 3k at a time.
Ah yes, another map that for all intents and purposes is designed no different from the others with a PT play area crammed into one side of the map and open sea on the other. least you had the sense to make the islands tall enough to serve as some kind of useful cover. What we really need is maps designed with a certain class in mind, not these terrible attempts at getting everyone to coexist on the same small maps.
The islands on this map look much steeper than with many other naval maps. Also, designing a map with 'one class' in mind just means that everyone will say that class is op...
AttackerCat, I don't see how making a map designed primary around say cruisers and destroyers will make said classes OP? it certainly wont make them any more OP than a single destroyer getting into the boat area. the "one size fits all" approach doesn't really fit anyone as boats will always be under the thumb of destroyers while cruisers will be unable to react fast enough to boats but destroyer are in turn under the thumb of cruisers, its un-enjoyable for almost everyone involved.
9/10 No fat bouncy (navy) seals
Looks great, and Naval is a fantastic game played in War Thunder. I hope Raining Fire may bring us some more open sea maps, and some manner of inclusion within Squadron Battles. Mixed RB Squadron Battles that shifted to Naval Mixed RB Squadron Battles would mean that Squadrons of War Thunder would need to master land, sea, and air, to rise to the top ranks.
According to the dev server, we won't be seeing any of that this patch
AceofWWII, *Monumental facepalm* "that we plan to add to the game with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire" Guess the name of update 1.101...
Community: fix tank and plane maps. Gaijin: BOATS.
Yeah, same maps, same old crap objectives. Really old and boring and frustrating when K/D try-hards got all the sweet spots memorized.
Maybe you would side with gaijin if you actually played naval.
Very nice, let's hope it's actually balanced.
Since you censored us from giving you feed back on the new BR changes. ARE YOU HIGH!?!? In what reality do the YS and the 32B belong at 10.0 and the EEL 9.7?! You absolute goblins. ACTUALLY PLAY YOUR GAME GAIJIN!!!
Bring back storms and rough seas please (I used to hide my reserve LS between the waves and i could sneak up on destroyers in the beta) Bring back larger waves. It made for good cover and more tactics and also adds to a players gunner skills even if it is 1 in every 20 games we get it I would look forward to them, was the most fun to really plot a course the tension was great and you had real hope knowing you had a good chance to get close.... big waves make a good island substitute ;)
