We do not often introduce completely new nations into War Thunder. So you might have questions. We tried to answer the most common ones here:
When will the closed test of the Italian aircraft tree start and how it will be done?

Many of you are already familiar with the procedure for the implementation of new vehicles from a new nation into the game: all Italian aircraft will be opened from the beginning for research and purchase for “Tester” (read below on how to become a tester). As the tests are conducted, players will regularly get the opportunity to research and purchase a few new vehicles. The list of the vehicles will be published in the news.
How do you become a tester?

Detailed information on the various methods will be published later, but you can currently purchase pre-order packs, which in addition to Italian premium machines, include Test status and unique pre-order bonuses.
Some Italian aircraft are already represented in the German tree. What will happen to them?

They will remain with those players who have researched and purchased them and will still be in the German tree. Also, the modules and improvements for those aircraft will remain tied only to them. For other players they will just disappear and their new representations will appear in the Italian tree.
Will the Italian premium vehicle packs stay available for purchase in the shop?

They will be available to purchase for some time, but after update 1.69 is released. Special pre-order bonuses, like decals and titles will however disappear from these packs.

I'm wondering, for players who have the italian planes in the german tree researched, will they be automatically unlocked in the italian tree, or do we have to unlock them all over again?
Those will disappear from german tree, but you could use them as a german. New players will only have them in the italian tree, and yes you need to research again in the new tree
i know its quite soon to ask, but have you considered eventually adding Italian tanks?
Will be Tanks and ships at a later point, so watch out for news down the road
Gaijin i've got a question. When will there be a Deathmatch? Like capping the point gets boring.
If the Italian tree is being added, will we soon see a French tree as well?

Wow Gaijin, You've really outdone yourself this patch, and have been for a long while now. We have been looking forward to a new nation for a long time now, and this is a really nice thing to add. The planes are beautiful, and the ones you have chosen are amazing, I mean, we now have a big bomber with a 102mm cannon on it! Things like that have been in real life, yes, but in my belief, no one has replicated this period of time's amazing war machines as well as you have. Thank you.

Really looking forward for the Italian tree but I got to say, if its not for some technical issue, to leave the already researched Italian planes in the German tree and make people research them again, instead of moving them to the new one just seems to be sloppiness or laziness. Please reconsider this and make it right.
Also, the German tree would look a lot better with the He51's and the He112's on the place of the Italian fighters in the second line and with the Bf109 B at tier I in the first line (with the Bf109 C and D coming in the future).
Sooooo patch in a few days... interesting.
