The German SPG Hanomag-Henschel Raketenjagdpanzer-2 is a big brother to the JPz 4-5. The cannon has been removed from the front armour plate, thus making it monolithic, also a mounted machine gun has been added. The Commanders and drivers seats have been moved to the front and have triplexes for better view. The machine has an operator’s gunsight and a Commander's Panoramic Sight - you can see them on the 3d model of the vehicle.
The RakJPz 2 SPG has light armour - only 50mm at the front of the hull, even though it is angled it does not provide good protection from enemy hits. But ATGMs compensate for all RakJPz 2 disadvantages - it can make two shots before reloading and carries 14 rockets that can burn through 60 cm (!) of homogenous armour. Doubtless, this is will be a real monster in War Thunder tank battles!
The Raketenjagdpanzer-2 commander should avoid being spotted (the low profile will help a lot) and aim the guided rockets accurately, trying to damage the enemy ammo rack in the first place. That is how the Raketenjagdpanzer-2 becomes a silent and deadly tank assassin that sends its opponents to the hangar one by one. The awesome speed of this SPG (70 km/h both forward and reverse) will allow you to be the first to get into a good position and rapidly roll back for reloading after launching 2 rockets.

Russian TOW tank exploded every tank in its video, meanwhile this one clearly does no damage to first tank. Another soviet bias?
it-1 gets intoduced, everyone starts crying about russian bias. Raketenjagdpanzer 2 gets introduced, everyone starts congratulating gajijn and gets hyped.
70 km/h in REVERSE?! German bias confirmed!
Does the game differentiate between MCLOS and SACLOS? Because from the video I get the impression that they work the same? Will missiles have realistic minimum arming range?
The germans will receive a new heavy tank or just SPG? Bcz the USA receive the T29.
The Maus was the real only "New" German heavy that could've even been remotley talked about being added. Its basically a paper tank and so is the E-100. Germany has nothing else to add unless you want WT to be like WOT. The T29 was added the same as the Conqueror. They both were the backbone of future tanks and MBTs. Germany already has the Leopard 1. Which is an MBT....sooo...irl, heavy tank productio ceased. Gotta use facts and historical data, thats what WT is all about. Sorry mate
German: KPz 70pls. The MBT-70 (German: KPz 70) was a 1960s German-U.S. joint project to develop a new main battle tank, which was to be equipped with a number of advanced features. It utilized a newly developed hydropneumatic "kneeling" suspension and housed the entire crew in the large turret. The MBT-70 was armed with a 152mm XM150 gun/launcher, which could use conventional ammunition and the Shillelagh missile for long range combat.
Song name ?!
wow, this looks amazing! What branch of the research tree will it be in?
After JgPz 4-5 no?
Yes! Im so glad someone was able to get the devs to post this, ive been meaning to mention it even since i saw the IT-1 cane out (but been busy). This is going to be sweet, and i cant wait to see the 2 go head to head. Btw...If The RakPzr is the Jagdpanzer kanone but without the cannon and replaced with ATGMs. AND the IT-1 is a T-62 chassis with its cannon removed and replaced with ATGMs. Wouldnt the next logical thing be to add the T-62?
how will these atgms damage work ... like HE or HEAT?
heat
Pst this is Raketenjagdpanzer 1(2 launchers).Raketenjagdpanzer 2(1launcher but more rockets).
Nope, The Raketenjpz I was based directly on the HS 30 and had a single Launcher if i'm not mistaken, Raketenjpz II based on the Jpz chassi and 2 launchers. Maybe you're confusing it with the Jaguar, wich is an upgraded Rjpz II with a single TOW Launcher. Even if, GJ sometimes derps in names and Designations, i'm not mad for it ;D
