In short: Blazer explosive-reactive armour and smoke grenades are coming as new modules for the Magach 3. No increase in BR is currently planned.
Great news for owners of the Magach 3 premium tank – with the release of War Thunder update 1.79, this tank will receive a set of modules that increase its survivability and defense capability on the battlefield.
The Blazer set of explosive-reactive armour will help the tank withstand HEAT shells, including anti-tank guided missiles. 55 containers of various shapes and sizes cover the front hull, the gun mantlet, the top and sides of the turret. ERA neutralizes HEAT stream, but does not provide additional defense against kinetic shells (armour-piercing, APCR, armour-piercing-high-explosive, etc.). Read more about what explosive-reactive armour is and how it works in our Devblog.
In addition, all owners of the Magach 3 will receive smoke grenades, which hide the tank with a smokescreen while it repairs or maneuvers on the battlefield.
All owners of the Magach 3 will get these modules completely free. New buyers of this premium tank will also get the defensive modules in the set. We don’t plan to change the tank’s BR after introducing these additional defenses, although it is possible that it may change if our statistics show that the tank has received too great an advantage.

I like my Magach 3, though sometimes I feel its well-rounded performance is actually a point against the machine. Maybe I just like weird and/or unusual vehicles too much, I'll admit. Still, this is not unwelcome, as it improves my 7.7 lineup (and looks very pretty, which is equally important).
While not super important but something that bothers me, the 2560x1440 wallpaper is just the plain jane Magach without ERA and such.
I already grinded out the Abrams with this tank, but its still nice to see that Gaijin is attempting to improve the life of Magach players. I feel bad for the people who have not stopped playing it already but maybe it could be something to try again next patch. Thanks you from you money spending community! This gives me more faith to invest in this game now.
Excellent. I was quite concerned that the XM-1 would eclipse the Magach on the US tree, for same price. Glad to hear that my IDF battlewagon may become a bit more viable. It is a tough tank to run well right now. Will there be a (further) speed/maneuverability penalty from the extra weight?
Why fix broken AB balance system, were 6.7 BR WW2 tanks fighting with T-54, better add some more shit on payed content. well done
Its true that the balance system is broken but remember that 6.7 tanks like the Centurions fought against T-54's and won decisively in Israel in both 1967 and 1973 wars
Thank you Gaijin, but can we get a Commie Crommie? (A Cromwell that was given to Russians after World War

Yes, thank you, thank you so much!!! I am so happy to see that I can use this tank to it's fullest now, thank you so much Gaijin.
Good Job Gaijin, one thing left though. It needs to have the M111 HETZ APFSDS. I don't mind it being raise to 8.0 or 8.3BR since the penetration is roughly 380 penetration. I ask this because APDS is a nightmare and the accuracy L7/M68 has been nerfed to the ground. Unless premium vehicles gets free ammunition and extremely low repairs which means spam heat-fs since it seem to work okayish. Though that isnt possible if it's going to be 1,000-1,500SL per shot. So with M111 HETZ being involve i...
With apfsds, it would be very similar to the AMX-30B2 BRENUS... so it would be 8.7. And, trust me, 8.7 without a stab is a nightmare...
sebsav, i get that, which is why i think the magach should be in 8.3. i think the m60a1 rise need to go down to 8.3 too unless it get M833 apfsds.
Thank you so much Gaijin, this was the first pack I bought from you guys and was honestly kind of disappointed with the performance of the tank. Thank you for not ignoring us Mag players!
