Last piston fighters
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
For quite some time, piston-engined aircraft ruled the skies. By the end of WW2, though, it was clear that piston engines were quickly becoming obsolete, and that there was a new class of apex predators emerging into the wide blue yonder — the jet powered fighter aircraft.
Today we’re going to talk about the best single-engine piston fighters that their era was able to produce, hailing from many different countries and sitting at different BRs, from 6.0 and up to 6.7.

none of my favorite top propelers were mentioned, so sad, it is Soviet Mikoyan-Gurevich I-225 and Japan J6K1 Jinpu. best maneuvreability, second to max speed and awesome 4x 20mm canons, resp. 6x20mm
Interesting! Now when are you gonna sell the KV-1E?
Oh thank god, I thought it was gonna be a post about Gaijin going jets-only for future updates! Although I have a feeling the truth isn't too far from basically adding just jets...
Unrelated, but the italian cl13 sits at rank 6. The plane has similair performance to a F86A5, but being rank 6 it gets a 390k rp cost and around 1.2 million silver lions to buy. Why not put this plane at rank 5 since italy only has 4 rank 5 planes ?
War Thunder = Almost Fun....why my favorite plane the T152 costs 38K repairing hahahahahha
Apart from the very large sized downloads required for updates (making in hard for me to be able to play for long periods because of my super slow internet), the SL economy in War Thunder is the main problem. Whether you are talking tanks or planes or ships, once you are hitting around BR 6.0 and over it gets almost impossible to handle the cost of repairs, let alone spading the vehicles. War Thunder is a superior game to a certain other war game I've played, but that one gives more rewards.
Just need to add the CA-15 Kangaroo and Sea Fury... An Australian tree would be cool, Spitfires, Kittyhawks, Meteors, Sabre, Canberra, Mirage...
Oh, and Mustang of course...
