The story of the Churchill series started in 1940. In the summer of that year, the Brits found themselves in a very tight spot: they were pushed out of the Continent, and Britain was facing the threat of invasion by sea. Lots of vehicles were lost in Europe, and the British desperately needed tanks in case Germany would follow through with their threat of Operation Sea Lion. The British top brass weren’t happy with the idea of recouping losses with old models alone; they wanted a new tank. The specifications for a brand new vehicle were eventually given to Vauxhall Motors — despite the fact that the company had never assembled tanks before.

black prince too high in BR, gaijin is making a video on the churchill familly, so let remind them that the black prince need to be 5.7 or even lower if its apds is removed, like 5.3-5.0, and the churchill VII should be 4.3 (as its clearly worse than a jumbo) at the very max.
Churchill just doesn't uptier as well as a Jumbo (can act like s medium), but that's the same for most heavies. I agree the BP needs some love, but chances are the Cent will hit 6.0 and maybe the Chariot lowers to 6.0 for a cleaner lineup.
Churchill AVRE for sure
Was about to say that lol
Still waiting..... but modern tanks are more important. (cough gets more money out of modern tanks and helis cough)
hang up, the black prince has plenty of action in war thunder? when it was first realeased yea, but now i cant even remember the last time i saw one. almost like its not enjoyable to play againt tiger 2s.... cant even remember the last time i played mine.
Played it during this event. When you need asists just play British :) it wasnt fun against 7.0at all! Pure pay to suffer!
Give the players what they wish for so long - the Churchill AVRE! Sell it as premium bundled after Black Prince - just like Calliope and T26-T99 are inter-linked. Pretty please?
in this video it is mentioned that the Churchill mk VII can fire US 75mm shells. Then why are they not in the game? even just the US 75mm APCR shell would greatly improve the effectiveness of the Mk VII. I enjoy playing it and i'm sure many more British players would take it out if it had access to slightly better shells.
Hope to see a few more Churchill tanks. There are still many that can be added. That will be useful and fun in the game. Like Churchill NA 75. A Churchill with a US 75 mm M3 gun. Churchill Mk. V close support, with a 95 mm (3.74 in) howitzer. Or a Mk.VII close support, 95 mm/3.74 in howitzer.
I'd like to see the Irish Churchill mk. VI with the merlin engine in game
