Special: The IS Family
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
The story of the IS tank family started in 1942, when a team of armor design engineers in Chelyabinsk began to work on a new heavy tank. The idea was to create a vehicle boasting both the mobility of a medium tank and the firepower of a heavy tank.

I'm curious for the dev blogs.
We're working on it :)
Ouiche, Tight schedule then. Good luck with it! Also plssss gib T-90A or the T-72B1 this update :/
Not to be rude but no one cares about this people want dev blogs.
Not true.I know i'm not the only one that are interested in this type of video. But I would also like to see some devblogs.
I sure want devblogs but I'm also happy to see that Gaijin made a video about the IS family. Waited some time for it :)
People asking for DevBlogs and new vehicles is great, but I honestly think the developera should slow the pace of introducing new vehicles and iron out long standing problems of the game. For example, improve the balancing of is 3 and is 4M, as they currently struggle at their respective BRs.
That depends on how you play them. But I can indeed agree that even if you're an ace with those 2 beasts you won't always get a kill in a battle due to an full uptier or a horrible map which wasn't made for that rank/br
HELICOPTERS one word huge problem apparently for gaijin to bring them out of their miserable state. I advise devs to play Heliborne and take notes
1.95 devblog?
the vehicle with the most bugged armor
The A-10 Warthog, when please?
Where would the Object 268 fall with respect to the IS family? Does it not count as part of the family with the IS-3 body?
Will there be any War Thunder BlackFriday sales tomorrow?
So are they discounted now or what?
I own and played with all IS tanks (not spaded is3 and is4) and i can confirm that mobility of t34-85 and t44 and t54 are much more better than IS tanks. in fact even germany and usa heavy tanks are better than IS tanks in term of mobility.
