In the early 1930s a new generation of aircraft was steadily changing the world of commercial aviation in Europe. There were more and more aircraft that were both light and fast, and boasted efficient airframes and retractable landing gear. Those planes were not only faster than their contemporary military counterparts… but also faster than some fighters! That was a weird turn of events for sure — but, most importantly, it prompted the military to change their views on bombers. Why would you build just aircraft that are heavy and slow when you could also make bombers that are light and fast? Thanks to their speed, they would never have to face their opponents directly… and it seemed that it wasn’t even that difficult to make aircraft like that.

Re,Fiat or Mc Family pls :)?
Ah the Dorniers, probably my favourite German propeller driven bomber. I have vivid memories of flying the 17E back and forth between airfields in the pilotage CBs back in the day. The 217E2 is probably my favourite, it sits on the first page of my service record having got me through nearly the entirety of rank III and IV. I have to mention the 217N1 though, not because of how good it was in combat (never really used it) but the fact that it can easily fly inverted in RB, perfect for airshows!
Wasn't the 17E added after the pilot closed betas?
A_Adorable_Cat, I meant custom battles
Always loved the Dornier aircraft, especially their flying boats and seaplanes. Dornier Do.26 is one of their prettiest planes imo. Any of their seaplanes would be fun as an event vehicle or something. At least they'd be useful in naval battles.
Starfighter Trophy yes or no?
maybe 5 days
Please, fix the aiming on ps4, when you put left or right the cannon goes also up, making you miss your shots. Please also fix ghost shells, its very annoying your bullet vanish just because your enemy shot first. This must be fixed, its been a while since we informed you about these bugs. Also when you go binoculars and return your aim is to the sky. Cant play like this. Idk if this happens only on ps4.
pls gib Do 217K-2 and K-3 with Fritz-X capability
Please fix your server lag !!!
how about stop nerfing the 104 gaijin? u going to make it useless too like every other cool plane you have in game that goes through the same faze of great performance near realistic historical performance and then the slow gradual nerfing and nerfing till its pathetic usless shell of the glorious real life counter part 104 has less then half the weight of an F-4 with practically the same engine so it should be faster and accelerate faster then an F-4
there's much more to a plane than just "half of something else" or whatever. Aerodynamics are also important. Go bug report the F-104s using their manuals if you think they're wrong.
Will the KV-1E go on sale anytime soon? I’ve been dying for that thing.
Wait for the Summer Sale/Event.
6/10. Its fine for someone not familiar with early LW bombers. Some lesser known fact reveled (and correct), but many other errors in context and history. Missed out on Do 335, which was in fact another bomber design made into a fighter just to have a contract to make airplanes. Clue is the internal bomb bay that carried up to 1000kg (smaller PC 1000, not larger SC1000).
