so i saw a video on YouTube where a Panzer II got shot in his ammo and his barrel essentially turned into a flamethrower. It was a 1.63 Dev server video and I have to ask, is this going to be something implemented in the new ammo rack effects? If so, I'll probably never go back to planes :)
nicccccccccce boys
Ammo rack explosion has less effects than before. It looked cooler with the cannon being blown off.
Again casting pearls before swine, as most players are still exploiting ultra low graphics to their advantage, and those like me who love the oustanding graphics WT can offer in most cases end turning everything off too, to not play handicapped.
Ooooooh, nice work, Gaijin. Looks great!
This looks amazing! great work on graphics guys :)
This is cool in all, but when are we going to get night-time tank battles?
The tracers for AA vehicle may be less "blurry", but I think the OLD tracer effects are much more realistic than the "New" effects. Tracers exit the gun muzzle very bright (and when viewed at night, no matter what their trace element color, they often have a hint of green for the first few meters, if the round has a copper jacket (small arms & heavy machineguns) or copper driving/obturator band for larger rounds. But they also visibly slow down during their flight, like those in the Old ...
...Old Tracer effect, they slow down as well as "arc' as fly through the air, visibly deviating randomly at extreme range, and upon striking the ground or an object, very often "bounce" and ricochet at strange angles. However, the "New" Tracer effect seems to have the tracers go at nearly the same velocity throughout, and "disappear" without deviation-- thus, the "Old" effect is much more realistic to me (I was a tank officer for years, and I've witnessed a lot of tracer fire, day and night).
...Also, the brightness of each individual tracer can "waver" as it goes along its flight path, as some take a bit longer along their path to fully ignite, or possibly due to slight factory variances in the mass-produced tracer mixture. I thought at first that the labels for the "Old" and "New" Tracer Effects were mistakenly switched--- If they aren't, I'd certainly prefer to have the "Old" Tracer effects remain-- they may be a bit "fuzzy" at the shooter's end, but they're much more realistic.
