In short: Blazer explosive-reactive armour and smoke grenades are coming as new modules for the Magach 3. No increase in BR is currently planned.
Great news for owners of the Magach 3 premium tank – with the release of War Thunder update 1.79, this tank will receive a set of modules that increase its survivability and defense capability on the battlefield.
The Blazer set of explosive-reactive armour will help the tank withstand HEAT shells, including anti-tank guided missiles. 55 containers of various shapes and sizes cover the front hull, the gun mantlet, the top and sides of the turret. ERA neutralizes HEAT stream, but does not provide additional defense against kinetic shells (armour-piercing, APCR, armour-piercing-high-explosive, etc.). Read more about what explosive-reactive armour is and how it works in our Devblog.
In addition, all owners of the Magach 3 will receive smoke grenades, which hide the tank with a smokescreen while it repairs or maneuvers on the battlefield.
All owners of the Magach 3 will get these modules completely free. New buyers of this premium tank will also get the defensive modules in the set. We don’t plan to change the tank’s BR after introducing these additional defenses, although it is possible that it may change if our statistics show that the tank has received too great an advantage.

We need a French stabilized gun for top tier, thanks guys.
again premium tank .... why do not you do that if someone buys a talisman on a tank then he will be able to buy a second talisman that adds 50% of the silver lions in order to make a premium tank from his favorite tank
Another useless tank. Missing most of its turret armour and all 3 shells underperforming making the L7 105mm gun underwhelming. to top it off the APCBC UFO slope modifiers allows APCBC especially at tier 5 used by russians to act like 3rd generation APDS against sloped armour at 60 degrees and top it off, reliable one shot capability. if its pen at 60 degrees wasnt enough, their APCBC will penm your turrtet thats missing 60% of its armour.
you arent getting a cent for that tank from me. Inb4 you say make bug report, its your job to get it right... if you need guidance then here you go. L7 105mm HESH should defeat 127mm at 60 degrees (90mm HESH could defeat 102mm at 60 to 70 degrees and 120mm HESH could defeat 150mm at 60 degrees) then your HEATFS should kill crew members in close proximity to its post pen trajectory fue to pressure and not be hoping that this super expensive shell doesnt make crew member orange upon direct hit.
Laurelix, As for L7 105mm APDS M392,L28,DM13 should defeat about 127mm at 60 degrees from range of 900-1000m and 77mm at 1200m at 70 degrees. As for M60 mantlet, this doesnt look like only 152mm thick to me, if that looks like 152mm thick to you, then isuggest a laser eye surgery https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiZt-vkoavbAhUJnRQKHXJZCY4QjRx6BAgBEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fforum.warthunder.com%2Findex.php%3F%2Ftopic%2F261969-m60-gun-mantlet-t...
My I propose that no new German vehicles be added in this patch. The "But muh Leo" crowd is seriously asking for it.
so unexpected
well........... look like an BR8.3 tank right here. but still slow with same useless gun.
Wheres Leo..... Magach 3 with era, finally, but... will it stay at 7.7?
Read the devblog =D
yes its said in the last lines of the dev-blog
Still free kill in 7.7, worst tank evah
I'm going to have you talk with the other guy who think ERA is P2W on this tank :D
Thank you Gaijin , i luv u guys, now my magach will have more style :D
Like who uses HEATs anyway??? With russian bias ? Objects dont carre what u drive u just die in one shot..
lol literally everyone using HEAT-FS in 7.7! YES this tank is 7.7 and people are still using HEAT because they don't get APFSDF! 8.3 or 8.7 is where people stop shooting HEAT.
F1GHT_4_W4iFUs, That's weird, last time I checked my Object 120 has APFSDS...
