Modern combat aircraft are usually extremely sophisticated technological marvels, made with expensive materials and fitted with all sorts of highly advanced avionics and smart weapon systems. In other words, they cost a lot — with only a few countries being able to field a few of them.
But if we went back to the times of piston airplanes, for example, you’d see a completely different picture — thousands of fighters and bombers waiting in their hangars for their time to shine. Today we’re going to speak about the most-produced military aircraft in history!

Any sign of the Martin B-26 Marauder, that was promised long ago? (5288 produced, used by USAAF, USMC, USN, RAF, FAFL, SAAF & Turkish AF). How about the Avro Anson? (11,020 produced). Ideal for tier I, with a modest bomb load and a single fixed .303 and single .303 turret, used by thirty-one different air forces and four naval air arms. Plenty of scope for skins.
I second the request for the Martin B-26 Marauder, hopefully as both a B and a G variant. With 5 fixed guns and 7 guns in 5 turrets and a bombload approaching a B-17 with less range, it could be a real powerhouse. It could even carry a torpedo although I have yet to read of anyone hitting anything with that torpedo.
SnapTite, And, when will we see the North American Bronco?
Bf-109 GANG!
amen my bruther
Why have you removed the PREVIEW IN GAME feature from the marketplace?
And why have they either removed the ability to, and/or the window for chatting to a smaller one?
yeet
Honorable mention must be made of the Chance Vought F4U Corsair. No, it didn't reach the numbers of those mentioned with a paltry 12,571 produced but it had a much longer production run with the first prototype delivered in 1940 and the final F4U-7 (French) coming off the assembly lines in 1953. Granted, Spitfires and MiG-15s served a long time but their production runs wasn't as long. The Spitfire was produced from 1938 to 1948 but the MiG-15 was replaced by the MiG-17 on factory floors.
Why is it always Russia with the most and best of everything? Is it because of the excellent Soviet propaganda?
You also have to think of the numbers produced was because of the numbers destroyed, so the factories had to build more and more. Most built doesnt mean they were the best. Maybe if Gajin added, how many remained after their service?
Cyannide, Yeah but I used to read about the soviet industry being trash
