We have already described that World War mode in War Thunder will be open for everyone. Battles in it differ from classical regular battles in that, that they are based on the real historical battles and entire operations, whose participants play out the real course of the war or, conversely, change history.
Today we will begin to present to you the first scenarios in which commanders and participants of battles will show their tactical skills.
The Battle of Vitebsk
Moscow - the key goal of the German offensive in 1941. To the rear of the Germans - Warsaw and Minsk, on to the capital of the USSR remains little more than 700 kilometers, where the confident movement of the 2nd and 3rd tank groups of army "Center" in the direction of Vitebsk has been halted by two Soviet mechanized corps of the 20th Army of the Western Front.
On the 6th of July, a fierce tank battle began, which lasted 5 days.
In War Thunder we have recreated this historical event, where the Soviet side is required to hold the approaches to Vitebsk for given time which will give them enough to win, while the Germans will have to be active in order to break through the complex defense. After all, nature is on the side of the Soviets - the Western Dvina River reliably covers almost half the front, leaving large tank units of the Wehrmacht even fewer ways for a large-scale offensive.
The German side in this operation is significantly superior with the amount of medium-sized tanks it has, while from the side of the USSR although there is a smaller number, they do have the legendary KV-1 and the reliable T-34. Go ahead, warriors, write your own story!

I am very glad that this game mode is around and it will certainly benefit the people who wanted more of a WWII focus on the game again. With this new game mode, though, will we start to see more WWII-era vehicles? Such as more Bf-109s, more Yakolevs, Lavochkins, P-51s, P-47s, P-38s, French Aircraft, A6Ms, and Italian aircraft?
There are already tons of these. I'm all in favor of new vehicles that actually add something new to the game or a specific tree but there are so many nearly identical vehicles right next to each other that just seem pointless.

i am really curious if us British jet players will get something to counter the t-2 with like a jaguar gr.1 for example. As you are probably well aware, the hunter, venom, meteors and the javelin are not at all up to part with any of the axis jets at the same tier&BR. would really like a jaguar because it would be a perfect counter to the t/2 which at its current state has no real competitor in the allied department

I hope that after this, make giant maps like the same mini-maps and see a difference if you fight north south east or west
Maybe they can have procedurally generated maps? The maps in this game are awful, and they've shrunk most of them down to about 20% of their old sizes. Even a bad random map will be miles better than the ones they've made.
First, correct the FPS drops on the maps that have started to be playable from 1.87.1.84!
If you are having FPS issues then please make a report and we can look at it to see why. More often than not, it is specific to the player's machine/location/connection etc. For instance, I don't (and many others) have issues with the maps.
