We have already described that World War mode in War Thunder will be open for everyone. Battles in it differ from classical regular battles in that, that they are based on the real historical battles and entire operations, whose participants play out the real course of the war or, conversely, change history.
Today we will begin to present to you the first scenarios in which commanders and participants of battles will show their tactical skills.
The Battle of Vitebsk
Moscow - the key goal of the German offensive in 1941. To the rear of the Germans - Warsaw and Minsk, on to the capital of the USSR remains little more than 700 kilometers, where the confident movement of the 2nd and 3rd tank groups of army "Center" in the direction of Vitebsk has been halted by two Soviet mechanized corps of the 20th Army of the Western Front.
On the 6th of July, a fierce tank battle began, which lasted 5 days.
In War Thunder we have recreated this historical event, where the Soviet side is required to hold the approaches to Vitebsk for given time which will give them enough to win, while the Germans will have to be active in order to break through the complex defense. After all, nature is on the side of the Soviets - the Western Dvina River reliably covers almost half the front, leaving large tank units of the Wehrmacht even fewer ways for a large-scale offensive.
The German side in this operation is significantly superior with the amount of medium-sized tanks it has, while from the side of the USSR although there is a smaller number, they do have the legendary KV-1 and the reliable T-34. Go ahead, warriors, write your own story!

Only squadrons with more than 10 members are able to create an operation in World War mode.
I what to congratulate you guys, have high hopes on the success of this project and the benefits it will give the game. Very good for you to give more game modes/objectives: "Intercept a column, attack an entrenched army or repel an assault." You should really post the videos on World War from your wiki youtube channel here on the official page. Lastly, an interesting next project would be making the "tactical board" aspect for commanders as a separate mobile game.

A large portion of Commanders duties will be dedicated to real time coordination of battle strategies on the map, be it troop movements of various units ( resupply from rear, flanking, planning attacks, defenses, advances, defense, etc) This is a huge task mind you and practically an whole job for those that take up that role of coordinating an entire Armys needs for an entire operation. In order for that to happen (both in real time and efficiently) that takes alot of communication and strategy between the commander and his other sub squad commander (and probably other squadrons playing the operation in cooperation). So it's best done online at the map screen (jn real time).
I really hope for aproppiate rewards, otherwise this mode will be dead after few weeks.

hopefully more specific than repeating the same old question: if there are various scenarios, there can not be scenarios/days/battles with markers and scenarios without markers? It is a WORLD war after all, shouldn't the world be big enough to accommodate AB and RB players at least? Just think on a way of separating the modes. It is impossible to have a one mode fits all.
Will there be any other American air or ground vehicles this update?

There will be some limitation in the amount of HEAT and APCR ammunition in the tanks? For example, the Panzer IV Ausf E can fire a total of 80 rounds of Hl. Gr. 38 C with a reload time of 4.3 s (stock) that can easily deal with the T-34 (1940) and the KV-1(L-11) at long distances, and also can hullbreak the BTs, the T-26 and, obviusly, the GAZ-AAA (4M)
Based on what I've found, only the Hl. Gr. 38 A should be available at this time, and of course there is no way anyone would have been able to load up their tank with 80 of them. Probably only a very few, maybe 5 or so? They should be able to code historical ammunition restrictions in, otherwise, the KV especially will be far too easy for the Germans to deal with.
