You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

well we know who will be dominating the battlefield
How about we have damage models on the crew? so if a vital organ is destroyed they die (cant come back even with this trauma pack) ,but lets say some shrapnel cuts their arm and they bleed ,a trauma pack can be used to heal them back ,or maybe stop bleeding (bleeding could act like a vehicle fire ,but for a single crew member ,they slowly die out without treatment)
Gods Gaijin - no, we really do not need this in RB or SB, please keep it in AB for the kids' play. All the sense of accomplishment when I switched my last surviving crew member from driver to gunner position just to get another shot and kill out before they finally got me - now with that change whoops, out of hyperspace or through odly intervention, gunner's back alive... and all sense of immersion gone. Please don't make me quit this game because it gets closer to WoT all the time...
You are an idiot. I'm 52, probaly old enough to be your dad, and i play Arcade. There are noobs in RB just like in AB. I can play AB and RB, just don't play RB because i would need to ULQ cheat to stay competitive and i don't have the patient to search for an enemy for 10 mins with binoculars. RB is for camper noobs. So stop that "kids are in AB" BS.
Alvega, Thanks for insulting me which owns you the "kid" stamp just right and perfectly shows why you should be in AB. RB is about teamwork, patience (yes, also waiting for the moment to strike which you incorrectly label as camping), positioning and flanking - not shooting around madly (which is pretty realistic as you would know if you had any knowledge about tank battles). And some people like it just that way. I am 41 btw and glad not to have you as father, thank you.
Okay, for those who were bitching about the Medkits, you do realize that this is a researchable module, right? You have the option to uninstall it after researching it. Don't like it? Just uninstall it in the Modifications tab. Simple as that dummies.
Also i can uninstall the game, as simple as that. If the majority of the community doesnt want it , Gaijin shouldnt implement it .And before some mod tells me that the community here and in forums isnt representing the majority of players then make an ingame poll about this as many games has done!
Pur3_3vil, Exactly.
Personally, I welcome this new mechanic. I'm not that great of a tank driver, and often get annihilated when I least expect it. These medkits will help me stay in the game longer, and learn how to be a more efficient when out in my tank so that I do not get taken out so easily. I have the tendency to just rush into the fray without taking a tactical moment to think out a strategy. Maybe these medkits will finally make me stop and think lol. I'm surprised I even reached Tier III tanks.
I dont mind this stuff being added but the reason to put it in is stupid because they wanted a realistic fighting simulator but they are adding things are not even real life if you got shot wth a 88 or a 76MM gun you won be alive this is not battlefield where you get shot and you defibrillator them LOL.
Please say that this new "COOL" Ffeature is ony FOR ARCADE MOD ???!!!
Is it to hard to just make it that you go back to your spawn/cap and wait like a few seconds/mintues?
I'll just leave my negative feedback here, don't mind me. Please remove this nonsense from RB&SB, thank you.
Is it going to be in AB mode only? I can't imagine such thing being in REALISTIC mode.
