You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

Who asked for this? I see no improvement as it will save my ass as often as stealing me a "deserved" kill. The only thing it does is making the game more arcade and more frustrating to level tanks up. If you REALLY think it is necessary, implement it without a necessary upgrade. This and silly 3d decoys make me lose more and more interest in the game. I always liked the realism of this game, but this seems to be sacrificed piece by piece in the hope of attracting new players.
Me wants trauma packs for my pilots!
Tank combat is not about second chances, tank combat is about creating one perfect chance and seizing it with maximum effect. This is just anothe LMS try to further arcade this game - it seems that developers came to understanding that money lies within arcade crowd, and not in even the least "simulator"like approach to game.
This is good.. but not good as like, good. I mean Its good to heal your crew, but death is death and how its gonna be in Simulator battle? and Remove 'Your crew is unconscious" unconscious means he will get up soon (Wake up) and fight.
and This future is like the same as WoT, WT must beat WoT not react like WoT. Please remove this future, its against the Balance and War Thunder Players and Supporters. Be Unique.
if driver was last man would think it would revive gunner, but if gunner was last alive would it revive driver or loader ? can wee get list of who in what situation ???
how does the game decide which crew member to revive?
would be nice if you could only use the trauma pack if you have 2+ crew members alive i could live with that
Seriously fellas, this is only replacing the already implemented "last man standing" with a researchable counterpart. Am I wrong?
LMS is not in the game anymore because it was bad. I thought they have learn. But apparently they have not. The only viable option to get a crewmember back should be at the base. Not with a magical trauma pack that puts the head back on the dead gunner.
I think that you should be able to go back to your spawn and replace crew members., not this sorcery
crew replacement currently is a bad idea we have very small maps, and half of players would avoid fight after 1 shot lost and ruin the game for aggressive players who "carry" the battle
I've gotta feelin, this is gonna make WT worst
