You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

Coming soon in update 1.59 "The Art of Necromancy": medkits crafted using the dark arts and blood magic to revive your fallen comrades, as well as Ivan, who is now so tough that he can attach his ripped off arm with his other f*****g arm - all while driving off a cliff and being on fire. /s PLEASE NO!!! Medkits should only heal wounded crew members, not revive the dead.
pls gaijin , no trauma pack in SB, and move spawns more away from flags. thanks
This feature will be ok, but I think you could only use it when in a friendly cap zone.
Please no.... i hated LMS and im gonna hate this. Alot of people are against this in the comment section and im with them. Look at the Administrators they defend it once and get trampled by most of the people and cant even defend it a second time, just look a ToxicSight's comment. NO ONE WANTS THIS! i'd rather not WT become WoT/WoWP. Gajin needs to stop making the wrong decisions.
I actually think this could be fun to use and will solve some problems that many of us have in War Thunder. I think it might cause some problems, however, making it more difficult to kill tanks with large crews (Tortoise, T-35, Maus, etc.) as they are resurrected from beyond the Hangar after being knocked "unconscious" by high-velocity tank shells. At least they don't cost Golden Eagles. I continue to look forward to Patch 1.59.
Did anybody even think about consequences of this change for balance ingame? For example it does greatly benefit large caliber guns (looking at you 122mm) or tanks with more crew members. But what the heck, we are losing player base, so we can try to piss them off even more! Wheeee
This is foolish madness - absolutely nonsensical, and the snide comments from admins over our MASS MAJORITY of negative feedback via constructive criticism is appalling in it's general disrespect of the player community as a whole. So many people have come to this game because it is unique, and does not have loads of cheesy features like World of Tanks and all other WG titles with their vehicles laughably having "hit/health points"... tanks dont bleed; Humans are mortal; health packs are dumb.
Therefore, expect to lose a LOT of people when your game becomes indifferent from what we all came here to get AWAY from. You can censor these types of honest messages trying to level with reality, but all I'm doing is saying what we are all thinking. If this becomes like WoT I will bounce so fast with all of my money, it will make heads spin and I won't need to look back because I already know what I was walking away from with the first title. Nobody wants this by majority. Dont tell us we do!
Shouldn't it be a white cross on a green background?
What people don't realize is that this is a game. If you don't like it, then don't play. Gaijin won't remove it because that's just how it rolls. It's a game, so deal with it. I find this to be a great addition to the game, though it would great if you could only revive injured crewmates instead of bringing dead people back to life.
Maybe for simulator battle you could just allow this to heal an injured crew member instead of completely reviving? I mean a critically injured loader or gunner drastically changes the speed of loading and gun handling. The medical kit used on them could be a better "simulator" feel that instant resurrection!
