You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

Not to be mean war thunder but how come something like this wasn't in the game in the first place
Guys, put your opinion here https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/315235-feedback-trauma-packs/ I hope there is chance to not implement this in the game :)
Hi, first comment ever. If any of the Admins reads this, do you think you could change the max repair cost of the caernarvon? Its currently 10k silver, when every other rank IV or V british tank or any nation for the matter(not sure about every nation) is below 5k. Ive been loosing silver playing the Caernarvon, i read it was to balance it out when it was at 6.3 BR, but now its at 6.7 which means sometimes you get matched against 7.7s and that usually ends in paying max repair cost.. Thank you.
I personally think that this is a Reasonable Idea, in the lines of specific areas. Please, keep it out of SB, I think it would work best in AB as well, It says itself. It works well with it, where as in SB and RB, as other people have said, if a Shell from an enemy tank penetrates the Armor of your tank and knocks out, all but one member in your tank, I believe the last thing they would do "Realistically" is stay in the tank until death. I do understand this is a game And I respect that.
But, In my honesty, AB: Good. RB: Not very good. SB: Lose half of SB tank players. Thanks anyway Gaijin.
UndeadNavigator, AB good because you dont play it, right? Because for AB players this is not good. I would like to see it just in SB and RB, if i was a guy like you.
RIP RB Ground Forces. 2014-2016
Wait so it brings them back to life? Did portable defibs even exist at this time? Is it like. A little surgery bay added to the tank? Idk about you but; when a 76mm shell drives through someones body it kinda goes "poof". I don't want to knock out 4/5ths of a crew with a 152mm artillery shell, then have the guy be able to revive his gunner before I can reload. That's just dumb. But if it's healing an injured crew member from something like a bullet or small fragmentation from spalling. I support
Are we getting new tank hanger? I seen it pop up in a video with the flags in the background! Would be cool if true
For RB/SB there is an aim to keep the game somewhat realistic, isn't it ? There is something a lot worse than getting an extra crew member. It's the REPAIR function. Gun disabled ? Motor pierced ? No problem : 30 sec repair and there you go again ! This is the worst thing against realism in this game. It obliges us to keep firing at a tank that is disabled. In this game we have to either kill all crew or blow the tank up to get it out of the game. This is so much remote from tank warfare.
I really like this idea, and have wanted something similar for awhile. But, the only change I would make is for the packs to only be usable on a control point. I think that would balance them nicely.
I don't know if this had been asked before but will the crew member be revived good as new or injured? (Yellow or orange status) I don't really have much of a prob with this. It's the part where we still have to research FPE that still nags me. Anyways, can't wait for the Sturer Emil!
