Italian National Unity & Armed Forces Day: The P40 and a Decal to celebrate!
On November 4th 1918, Austria-Hungary capitulated in the First World War, allowing Italy to gain a number of territories and finally complete its unification which began in the mid-19th century. This date has been celebrated as the Day of National Unity and the Armed Forces of the country for more than a century, remaining a holiday under different regimes. On this day, Italian leaders lay wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, barracks are opened to the public and army departments hold concerts in major cities.

Republic of Turkey 100th Anniversary: A Decal and the T129 ATAK is back!
In 1919, a war broke out between the Turkish military led by Mustafa Kemal and the countries that laid claim to the territory of the former Ottoman Empire. In the summer of 1923, it came to an end, and on October 29th of the same year, Mustafa Kemal proclaimed the formation of the Turkish Republic.

The J35A Draken was the first supersonic jet aircraft to enter service in Western Europe. Taking to the skies on October 25th 1955, the J35 was in service between 1960 to 2005, however it did not participate in any real combat.

UH-1C XM-30 returns for the anniversary of its maiden flight!
On October 22nd 1956, the Bell UH-1 Iroquois (commonly known as the “Huey”) multi-role helicopter took to the skies for the first time. This helicopter was put into service in 1959, and is still in active use today! Over 70 countries use or have used this famous helicopter, where it is ranked amongst the top 3 in terms of number built.

On October 21st 1805, the British fleet commanded by Admiral Nelson caused a crushing defeat to the combined naval forces of France and Spain at the Battle of Trafalgar. This victory not only prevented Napoleon’s invasion of England, but also made Great Britain the ultimate ruler of the seas. The Yak-38 Is Back for Its Maiden Flight Anniversary and Is Here to Stay
On September 22nd, 1970 the Soviet VTOL light strike aircraft Yak-38 performed its maiden flight — it was the first operational carrier-based VTOL fixed-wing aircraft in the Soviet Navy. It was designed especially for Project 1143 heavy aviation cruisers and served almost exclusively on them.

The YP-38 is back for the Anniversary of its first Flight!
The YP-38, a prototype of the American heavy two engine fighter Lockheed P-38 Lightning, took to the skies for the first time on September 17th, 1940. The P-38 was the only aircraft that was mass produced in the US throughout the entire World War II. It was actively used as a fighter on the Pacific Theatre, and also did a lot of reconnaissance over Europe.

80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Kursk
August 23rd, 1943 marked the end of the Battle of Kursk — the largest tank battle in history, with around 3000 tanks from the German side and over 5000 tanks from the Soviet side. It was the first time a German offensive on the Eastern Front failed with no significant gains. The decisive victory of the Red Army led to it gaining a strategic initiative and defined the way the rest of the war was fought.
