Greetings, fighters! We continue to work on making our game better in all aspects, and today we’d like to present a new article type: In Detail. It will include both player suggestions and our ideas that we’d like to elaborate upon and discuss with you.
Let’s discuss in detail markers in air events
We’d like to disable ground vehicle markers for pilots of fighters and interceptor helicopters during air events in Ground arcade battles. The markers will remain for strike aircraft, bombers, and helicopters with air-to-ground rockets and ATGMs.
Air events are a rather old mechanic that was adapted to new vehicle ranks by including more and more modern aircraft. But with more powerful payloads, more advanced fighters with front-mounted cannons appeared in the sky. Such aircraft were intended to escort or destroy strike aircraft (depending which side they’re on), but, beginning at the mid ranks, the fighters often prefer to rush to the tank battlefield and attack low armored vehicles.
As a result, we believe, gameplay suffered for both ground vehicles that had to fend off 2-4 aircraft instead of one serious aerial opponent, as well as the strike aircraft that were left with no cover while costing many times more.
Besides, after the middle of the battle the dominating side started to actively use air events for massive air attacks, lowering the comeback chances of the side that was already losing.
What’s going to improve
Fighters aren’t the “main characters” in air events: you can infer that from the fact that you can’t initiate the events as a fighter. Effective escort/interceptor fighters costing one point are meant to improve the chances of the strike or to counter it — depending on the side.
Fighter pilots that aren’t tempted by highlighted positions of the ground targets will concentrate on their immediate task, the tankers will clearly see their main target in the sky, and kamikaze attacks that annoy many of you will happen much less often.

Comments will be premoderatedI don't think this is a good thing. If the markings of fighter jets are removed, they will not be able to effectively attack tanks occupying very special positions. Although they are not light tanks, they can penetrate turrets or ignite engines. Due to the imbalance of the map, it is very important for fighter jets to find targets to attack. Moreover, sometimes fighter jets are too far away from the bomber's position and cannot keep up with the bomber
That's the point - fighters supposed to protect strikers/bombers, not focus on fighting ground forces.
Fighter jets are fast, not slow. Fighter jets often get very close to a target or fly away. Me-262A-1 is 7.3, max speed->865 kPH. B-29 Max Speed: 641 KPH. No bomber in the game is slow but their most certainly not faster than a jet, against a jet their slow-moving targets if you bnz.
Wonderful change! Really glad to see this. Hopefully this will make it much easier to use light vehicles without getting strafed.
A good change. If the fighters can't remember where the ground enemies were before they go up they'll attack enemy fighters hopefully & if they can remember they can still go after ground targets afterwards. Now as "xCrossFaith " mentioned earlier. Can we do something about the times when literally 1 second after spawning a bomber you already have 3 enemy aircraft within 1km & closing fast already disintegrating your bomber, no amount of fighter escorts can stop that from happening. I...
we need more rewards for destroying plane in arcade battle
Yes, it's disappointing to kill 3 aircraft with SPAA and get few points, when that's the job of the SPAA. Shooting a/c with SPAA should be nearly like killing three ground vehicles with another ground vehicle.
It would be good if the respawn position was changed at the same time. Currently fighters have difficulty doing that job because the respawn position is not realistic for both intercepting and defending. If the respawn position is adjusted, they will be able to concentrate on their original job. However, if the current respawn position remains the same, I am against this change.
worse thing actually are spamming atgm helicopter the moment they spawn making them unavoidable and impossible for aa to effectively counter them. They should get a delay or smaller range atgms because at 3.5km only missiles spaa are effective and guns only spaas are useless.
Can we get AI ground AA around spawn points in Ground RB too ? I'm sick of CAS spawn camping behind the lines.
One easy solution could be moving air spawn above the airfields on the maps where its not like that. Aint gonna help, i play pure Anti-CAS fighter planes to destroy all you silly little bombers and strikers ^^
Wait, so calling a bomber as an M-18 or BMP isn't effectively spending 3 points to get crashed into by 3 suicidio fighters? That's not even War Thunder anymore.
We can see your nickname, we know your opinion is biased :P
Sounds promising
open tops will be a bit more viable in Ground AB, yesss!
