For many types of vehicles that aren't equipped with super sturdy armour, attacks from the flank and ambushes are one of the main ways to achieve victory. The SPz 12-3 LGS, the main prize of the new War Thunder Battle Pass season, is one of such vehicles — and that's why this season is called “Armour Breaking Ambusher”!
Note: from season 12 onwards, Battle tasks and some battle pass challenges can be completed in Air or Ground SB!
To receive Battle Pass rewards, you need to regularly log into the game and complete tasks and challenges. Each level of Battle Pass will earn you a prize, be it a player icon, a loading screen, a title, decals, decorations, or new premium vehicles!

A German S-38 series torpedo boat that received updated armament of a pair of 40mm Bofors auto cannons, new torpedo equipment and a navigational radar in Italian service. Its excellent speed and handling allow it to easily perform torpedo attacks, capture points and manoeuvre among islands and rocks.
A carrier-based torpedo bomber with a new experimental Homare 23 engine. A fast and agile aircraft for its class, made even better thanks to a more powerful engine, it is very comfortable to carry out dive or level bombing.
APC SPz 12-3 (SPz lg) equipped with an American M40A1 106 mm recoilless cannon with HEAT rounds. It handles off-road and low hills with ease and pierce through defences of most tanks — it's a real Armour Breaking Ambusher!

About the Battle Pass
If you’ve got two Coupon Upgrades from stages in the previous season, then you can claim the new Battle Pass for free! Exchange them in the purchase menu of the Armour Breaking Ambusher season.
Battle Pass is a seasonal event that allows the players to earn many rewards, from Silver Lions and boosters to exclusive season prizes: decorations, profile icons and premium vehicles. The rules are simple: you earn progress points and use them to open new stages, earning valuable prizes in the process.
You can open new stages and receive awards at any time during the season.
How to participate
Play
- You get progress points every day for entering the game.
- From 1 to 5 points.
Complete Battle Tasks
- See Battle Task descriptions in the game and get progress points for completing them.
- From 2 to 5 points.
Complete Season Challenges
- Season Challenges are very similar to Battle Tasks. One Challenge is available at the season’s start. Every week you get another one or two challenges, three more can be unlocked by opening stages.
- 30 points.

I'm sorry to say, but just like the previous ones, this Battle pass is rubbish. We will probably have missions that are impossible to accomplish. We will slave away to the game to receive VERY bad prizes.
The B7A2 is a very good bomber. It's free too. I'm waiting to see what the warbond shop rewards will be before I commit
i kinda miss when you use to mix up BPs a bit, them always being the exact same layout makes it a bit boring
unfortunately yet another broken german vehicle (this one is rank IV, so i believe it's gonna be around 6.3 and be better than any counterpart sitting at the same br, as always) as an event/bp reward. Let's hope that the operation S.U.F.F.E.R. isn't going to have yet another (broken because why not) leopard pt something and be more focused around mid tier and forgotten nations (yes they exist, stop forgetting them!)...
I think you're really overestimating how good this thing is going to be. The regular Jpz is not a good vehicle. You're vulnerable to 50 cals from the roof or sides and while reasonably quick its a very twitchy chasis. The recoilless gun is alright, but you only have a HEAT or maybe a hesh shell to use with it which means it can be incredibly hard to get a single round kill on anything but a very light vehicle. There's also several other vehicles at this br using the same weapon (Ontos).
