All i want and all of the long lasting members of War Thunder is to fix the game, repair costs need to be looked at, damage models, bugs, BRs need to be looked at, more game modes for ground RB, more but small maps for mid/ top tier, SL/ RP gain for non premium accounts, and much more. JustAGuy1250, If you don't want the insane repair costs on vehicles like the B-29 changed or the BRs to be adjusted so the game is actually balanced, you are in the minority.
This year was an outstanding year for War Thunder. I am really hoping to see some good things implememted next year, like World War mode, ships and helicopters for every nation, and new nations. Happy New year everyone!
Your full of it With the introduction of Helis Tanks at high tier is THE MOST UN-FUN THING TO PLAY,. Helis get a solo game mode planes get a solo game-mode and boats have weapons on almost every ship to effectively deal with aircraft. Why the fuck does the least effective against air have to always fight with air? WT tanks are at an all time low when it comes to fun factor. all the "new content", release on new platform ... and yet the number of players online is at best the same as last year and way below 2014-2015 numbers. And thanks to the release of ships those players are again spread even more thinly across even more game modes. Yeah, go pat yourselves on the back how great year that was ... but it really wasn't. Again. Instead of spewing out new vehicles like broken sewage hose, try to make a few updates addressing the fundamental problems of WT gameplay.
Yep, garbage matchmaker kills this game. Many players got sick of it and left. They are plenty of new games coming out each year. Gaijin is threading a thin line. FYI, Gaijin, endless component grind is NOT content.

Another year in the books and now a massive need to address the air realistic map/mission.rewards that has been ignored for YEARS. Tier VI planes proved the need for larger and more diverse maps and missions. Afghanistan is a huge step in the right direction. More destructible features on the maps to halt enemy movements. And so much more to come from you great developers. Happy New Year and keep on charging ahead.
Yep, we need new and improved objective structure and/or opening of RBEC permanently. The Sim Community is allowed to play EC 24/7 and directly give a steady stream of feedback to lastGrayAngel (the EC developer) to help grow the mode, why not also allow the RB Air guys the same?

I believe Sweden ducked out of the last few conflicts and their military equipment shows their lack of experience. Why would you want them in the game?

I hope you focus in fixing the air side of the game next year since I never saw it as bad as it currently is, weak DMs, injured pilot mechanic, broken spotting, thick clouds adding to some broken FMs, and unbalanced guns that make it not worth to fly most of the what should be great planes in this game. Tank battles need bigger maps, less "Conquest" mode and helicopters removed as they are implemented right now, it's not fun to not be able to do anything against them when they are targetting you
There was no balance in firepower so there should be none in game, especially in RB or Sim. The injured pilot mechanic is a plus over simply getting sniped dead or not hit at all. Landing wounded and shot up is a challenge I enjoy, especially on a carrier. Some flight models are broken. The 229, 335 need nerfing for certain, as do several of the Italian planes. As for Attackers/AGM's/Helicopters ruining your fun, guess what. They did it IRL, too, so learn to fight back against it all.
JustWill, How do you fight a chopper thats hovering 4km away from the battlefield using ATGMs and your on a map like kursk? Plz tell me
My New Year's wish for WT is that Gaijin finally gets their stuff together and fixes (or makes a new one) the matchmaker. It's especially bad in tanks. Endless steamrolls and losing streaks. Losing 8+ times in a row is very common. During each event I'm getting 25-35% win rate and it takes me ~33 matches to get 10 wins. This happens pretty much with every tank 10 wins task. 6+ hours to get the 10 wins? I better look for another game. Most of my friends are gone anyway.
I had many evenings that I would play 5-6 games and I would not have a single win. After a while of these pathetic steamroll losses (yes, the matches are so one-sided) I started to ask myself "why do I even bother?" If something like 60-65%+ of your tank matches should never be, how good is Gaijin's matchmaker? It's been pathetically bad like that for about 4 years now since their bragged "improvement". Ever since then I stopped having fun in tanks.
The best way to describe the matchmaker is like a constant see-saw or pendulum, but it stays in the extreme bad section much longer, so you have to suffer countless steamroll losses without there ever being a chance of a win. 6-8 losses in a row with 7 matches being particularly stupid and pointless due to being so 1-sided. Then you get 1-2 wins followed up by another 3-4+ losses in a row. All I want is evenly matched teams and stop nerfing people with cotton ball shots. It's so evident.
Gajins new years resolution should be.... fixing the bloody game and swearing an oath not to release another patch so bloody rushed
