User-made sighting reticles
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
There are three things you can watch forever: fire burning, water falling and.. enemy moving in the crosshair of your sights. Especially if it was designed by you.
We are happy to introduce a new feature which will definitely please all the fans of content customization. You will now be able to redesign existing sights for the ground vehicles or create your own from the scratch, or use someone else’s design that you personally like. It’s as simple as changing default camo to custom. See the instruction on War Thunder Wiki.
The War Thunder Wiki team would like to share their field report with you.

M1a2 gun sight??
Can someone email me their gunsight? One for the T64? I’m a bit to lazy and can’t learn how to make one 😂😂😂😂😂😂 anyway thanks...
This is real nice, but we need this option for the aircraft side as well! It would be real nice to be able to change the artificial horizons (F4) color to almost anything other than white!
GG Gaijin love the new update!!! Note: please fix problems in game before next update*
why don't you implement the real sights for the Vehicles? I fail to dumbdown to your level and see how this shit feature is even conceived? The sights is a extremely important part of the gun's characteristics. Putting own user made sights for a tank.. then they ain't historical. This is a feature you implemented, cause you can't be arsed to implement real sights, and rather leave it to players to make em. Thing is, now you can effectively upgrade ur own tank. this is retarded beyond all..
Oh, still greedy.
Yuri_SO, not greedy, I only fail to see how some players now can boost their sights is good in any way.. A T-34 should have a shittiest broken glass lins with a dew scrathes on it, and a Tiger II straight and diagonal and in metric and perfect scribbled down sight. while a modern Murican Tank should have trigonometri in it's sight, space-ship lvl. If i now can use whatever sight i want to, I effectively upgrade the sights, that's cheating, cheating on the historical Vehicle, and cheating all other
I literally just started using these yesterday, I absolutely love this feature. Thank you Gaijin. Other than adding more in-game historical sights, one think I would love to see related to this is 'turnable' (I don't remember the technical name) tank sights, like some historical tanks had. But thank you for this awesome addition that I have been taking full advantage of.
Does anyone know if there is anywhere to find historical M50 Ontos sights?
So i have noticed that tanks in higher tier than 5.7 they mostly have their optics zoomed in more than low tier tanks, tanks like STA, M41 or type 61 etc. So i want to ask if there is any option to not having their optics zoomed in i want it to be the same sight as tanks from lower tier because i found myself having trouble of fighting someone in close range mainly i can't find the target fast enough because the optic is being zoomed in way too much, it also makes it harder to find the weakspot.
https://i.imgur.com/3ZdmHSr.jpg I know it sounds weird but i prefer normal optic zoom. Here you can see that in close range the lower tier tank's optic has better field of view and you can see a whole tank which makes it easy to shoot where you want for example weak spots. While the higher tier tanks isn't good at all in such situation because as you can see the camera zoomed way too much. To put it simple is there anyway to have the same optic zoom as low tier tanks for my 6.3 tanks and above
R1C3_B4LL_97, No it doesn't sound weird, it's exactly as you say, they did this cause modern tanks fight long distance and old short, that's what they at in lvl, they just left it there. Child lvl. Ofc sights would be better and better, not just function different distance. Ask Gaijin nabs to make real historical sights instead, they've only made dumbed down shit sights that are no way near historical accurate, the German Engineers of the 30-40s would cry.
No tiene nada que ver con la noticia pero me preguntaba cuantas medallas ahí que ganar para poder desbloquear los aviones franceses?
Will there be any kind of AA-sight in the future for AA-vehicles?
