User-made sighting reticles
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
There are three things you can watch forever: fire burning, water falling and.. enemy moving in the crosshair of your sights. Especially if it was designed by you.
We are happy to introduce a new feature which will definitely please all the fans of content customization. You will now be able to redesign existing sights for the ground vehicles or create your own from the scratch, or use someone else’s design that you personally like. It’s as simple as changing default camo to custom. See the instruction on War Thunder Wiki.
The War Thunder Wiki team would like to share their field report with you.

Hi, do you think that these vehicles should be implemented into the game: Heinkel He 177, Junkers Ju 288, Yokosuka P1Y Mitsubishi Ki-51 Aichi B7A Mitsubishi Ki-20 Autoblinda Fiat-Ansaldo Semovente da 90/53 Ambrosini SAI.207 Kawasaki Ki-32 (Mitsubishi G3M) G3M1 Model 11 | 12 and Mitsubishi Ki-46 I hope some, or hopefully ALL of them will be included in the future.
Just pointing out that the Aichi B7A2 "Ryusei" has been in the game for as long as I can remember, and the Yokosuka P1Y1 Mod. 11 "Ginga" has been in game since Update 1.63 "Desert Hunters" from September 2016, so a year ago, although it be nice to see additional variants or upgrade packages for it.
especially He 177! German is lacking a heavy bomber! Let's have the He177 with max 7.2t bomb load!
love it! GAIJIN!!! using the real 88 tiger sight and panther, all tanks atm! LOVE IT!!!!
except those dont actualy work, since gaijin slacked a bit, so nobody cant realy make those, since the aiming line can go only verticaly, not by the circular motion as the germans used with their sights.
typo: "there are three thing" should be "things"
thank you
I mean, devs are russian :P
Nice
So no way to make the German gun sites rotate like IRL?
not now i think, but its posible
nope. :D (gaijin is slacking with the eford here, since they went and make it by the easiest approach around historicaly accurate sights lol)
love the idea guys. Thanks so much!
Alt+F9 not working...just took my RU251 to out for Test drive and tried to change the 1st parameter per instructions and all it did was turn the reticle black to red and red to black. No additional changes noticed.
left alt+F9 should update the sight
Did you go to 'options' and under tank settings, switch default sight to whatever the tank sight is called?
But what happend whit the german ones...i mean the sniper zoom, maus at last have only 5% zoom, the russian ones have a zoom...like i am right in the enemy face, and i am at 500m from him or 1 km....it is unfair to cant zoom in realistic in german tanks:(
with all this cdk freedom its almost like a democracy.......
will ps4 ever get custom camoes and sights?
No my friend,Sony doesn't allow to download contenta from the Live.WT -_-
