You can unlock this vehicle during the Special event: "War Thunder Chronicles"
The Yak-3T was an experimental version of the renown Soviet Yak-3 fighter that attempted to improve its firepower and allow it to effectively engage heavily armored targets, such as tanks. Players will have the chance to try out this unique aircraft for themselves after acquiring 11 “Chronicles awards” for pilots.
In early 1945, Soviet engineers were conducting testing of a new version of the Yak-3. The new modification set out to improve the base model’s firepower and allow it to engage hostile armor. It achieved this by replacing the standard armaments with a pair of 20mm and a single 37mm autocannon. This weapon loadout gave the Yak-3T a very respectable one-second burst mass of 6 kg/s. The aircraft’s cockpit had to be moved slightly to the rear of the fuselage in order to compensate for the additional weight caused by the new, heavier armament. However, with the aircraft suffering from severe engine reliability issues and the war coming to a close, the project was ultimately cancelled, thus never leaving prototype stage.
In War Thunder, the Yak-3T will be a collectible aircraft situated on the third rank of the Soviet reserach tree. The aircraft is a true hybrid - featuring very similar handling characteristics to the regular Yak-3 combined with a powerful 37mm autocannon, similar to the one used on the Yak-9T, which is able to crack the toughest of opponents on the ground and in the air alike. For being a premium vehicle, the Yak-3T will allow its pilots to earn additional rewards in Research Points and Silver Lions with every scored hit.
The Yak-3T can only be obtained as a prize for participating in the “War Thunder Chronicles” event series. Enjoy the signature feeling that the N-37 cannon delivers when blasting foes to smithereens! Don’t miss out on the fun and go for it!

What engine is inside this beast?
the the small air intake on top engine cover gives me a hope of vk107.. but as far as i found on internets the real plane had vk105
The Yak-3T uses the M-105PF2 engine.
so pretty :)
Yay, another paper-plane! \o/
Paper vehicles refer to vehicles that never left the drawing board. The Yak-3T was designed, built and tested, but due to a multitude of reasons (see text above) didn't enter serial production.
Will this wonderful wehicles will be added again to the prise vehicle "roster", because I don't have the necesary vehicles for the event yet ?, keep up the good work on this wonderful game !
I can only imagine the sheer rage this plane's going to cause.
Also, this means updated models for the in tree variants of the Yak-3, right?
I appreciate the work done on this plane, but I cannot let the problem that you guys at Gaijin HQ butchered the Italian roundels on the Italian aircraft. This historical revisionism is completely unacceptable. If you guys are so keen on censoring symbols for those stupid enough to complain about them, at the very minimum, add a setting to the game in which fasces and swastikas can be enabled or disabled. Then, you can satisfy both those who are stupid, and those who value accuracy.
and then get the Media backlash and politicians criticizing the game and planning to ban it?
Hello, can I ask a question since this & the (VK-107A) have HD updates will the other Yak-3's get them because there some of the oldest models in game?
our need Yak-3T-57 not Yak-3T
no. the bias is strong already.
it is of blyatifull axaxax))))... but why no soviet anthem(((
