Meet the latest addition to the Hornet family: the two-seat F/A-18D! This multirole jet fighter is set to become one of the best U.S. premium aircraft in the game, defined above all by its absolute versatility. With a massive arsenal of external stores and state-of-the-art avionics, pilots can fine-tune their combat machine for every specific mission. In an interceptor role, the F/A-18D can carry up to six AIM-120B active radar-homing (ARH) missiles, alongside weapons for closer-range engagements, such as the semi-active radar-guided AIM-7P and the highly maneuverable, all-aspect AIM-9M. Heading out for a ground-attack sortie? The F/A-18D offers access to some of the best air-to-ground ordnance available, including JDAM-ER and LJDAM-ER precision-guided bombs, AGM-65E Maverick missiles, and a wide variety of conventional bombs and unguided rockets. A hallmark of the series remains its exceptional responsiveness to flight controls, even at extreme speeds!

The F/A-18D will arrive at rank VIII in the US aviation tree, where it will serve as a valuable addition to high-rank lineups across all game modes.

- No air-to-air missiles
In the game, the Q-5D serves as a further evolution of the Q-5 early and Q-5A models. It is a supersonic jet-powered strike aircraft featuring an increased number of weapon hardpoints and a capable ground-attack arsenal. The Q-5D excels in mixed-battle modes, its high speed combined with a payload of bombs and rockets supported by a ballistic computer allows for precise strikes followed by a rapid exit from the range of enemy air defenses. The new Q-5D is equipped with 64 countermeasures and an all-aspect radar warning receiver capable of detecting surface-to-air missile launches. However, as a dedicated strike aircraft, the Q-5D carries no air-to-air missiles, instead for air combat, it must rely on its high speed, excellent maneuverability (for a strike aircraft), and a pair of 23 mm cannons mounted in the wing roots.

In terms of its capabilities, the new Q-5D sits between the earlier Q-5 and Q-5A variants and the more advanced Q-5L and A-5C. China now has a rank VI premium strike aircraft that fits perfectly into lineups at the 9.0–9.3 Battle Rating range, while also helping players research more advanced, higher-rank vehicles more quickly.
You can pre-order the Q-5D and F/A-18D from today to get yourself some Golden Eagles, Premium Account time and pre-order bonuses!
Please note that vehicle specifications may be subject to revision and change before being added to the game.
