In the next major War Thunder update, we're going to add a very unusual location for air Arcade mode that we've named Guiana Highlands. Battles at this location will start at altitudes of more than 6,000 meters above sea level, with the entire area divided into stages, each with its own targets and unique requirements for waging battle.
Our artists came up with the idea for the location after learning about Mount Roraima in Brazil. This unique mountain with a flat summit is a true natural wonder – a gargantuan mountain plateau rising up against the landscape. The plateau is partially obscured by a huge cloud that constantly hangs over Mount Roraima. This place inspired the great Arthur Conan Doyle to pen his iconic novel “The Lost World,” it’s a truly mysterious corner of our planet!

Please stop making maps AB only nobody thats an adult plays arcade not a self respecting on that is. and RB doent have a bunch of maps you get korea sicily norway or some japan map that always sucks please just let RB play on AB maps without being mixed
I hope for some ground force maps too
definitely interesting. especially since the high start impedes engines even with the arcade buff. can AB also start getting weather effects in battle? only day/overcast/night is getting monotonous. add some torrential rain and lightning!
Adorable - Russians finally got to watch 'UP'.
Oh and you didn't name it - "Guiana Highlands" is what the actual location is called. Anyone and their dog can Google it - so don't take my word for it.
-And thanks again for showing absolutely ZERO consideration for RB/SB players. We know you don't care about us; but it would be nice to stop with the condescending excuses. We (your customers) aren't as stupid as you think we are.
I'd really like to see high-altitude maps for RB... perhaps a map where all players spawn in at over 25,000-35,000 feet (7620-10668 meters) altitude. This was the range where jets, heavy fighters, and high-altitude fighters really began to outshine the single-engined "standard" fighters. It's very difficult to reach this altitude at all in War Thunder due to the relatively tiny maps compared to real areas, and thus some of the high-altitude fighters (e.g. Ta 152) can't be used to full potential.
It was said that, at 35,000 feet, a B-29 could outmaneuver a P-47.
SkyEye_MCCIX, ^^^ Got that wrong, a little review tells me that it was said it would "turn like a P-47"; possibly an exaggeration but still goes to show the effects of such high altitudes on flight charecteristics.
"with the entire area divided into stages, each with its own targets and unique requirements for waging battle." world war test?
There are so many arcade maps and not very many realistic battle maps, why not bring some arcade ones over to realistic? I think that's a great idea!
I dont know why people are complaining about this, if you play AB, awesome for you, new map! If you play RB or SB, then ignore this because they will release another map as they usually do for RB and SB.
And when in history did the Soviets, the Third Reich, Colonial Britannia and U.S.A fight over Mount Roraima in Brazil with their repspective airforces? how about STICK TO ACTUAL WARZONES for your game huh? This location has nothing to do in this WW2 and Cold War era game.
They do, can you read? It's AB (Arcade Battles). They aren't based on historical events, try RB maybe if you want some of that.
no domination map then hey? oh silly me bombers this is gonna be a 90% bomber map again -_-
