, we’ll be introducing rank IX for aircraft research trees. This rank will include some existing top-tier aircraft, while some rank VIII aircraft will be grouped or relocated. Comparison images of the trees before and after the changes can be seen below. Check them out!

These changes are aimed at improving the research tree structure and aligning the vehicle Battle Ratings with their ranks to ensure progression is smoother. Affected vehicles are marked with a special icon in the game.
We’re announcing upcoming changes in advance to give you the opportunity to plan your tech tree research with an understanding of how the tech trees will look in the near future.

Comments will be premoderatedAnother rank, another restriction to grind.. good thing I rushed to unlock some of the planes that were going to rank 9, as I just hate playing tier 8 to grind to be honest. I wish you'd at least wait by moving some of them to tier 9 until there were more than 5 planes at that tier..
I'm sorry but we should already be at like 16.0 with plane BR's. The F-15 should not be at 12.7 fighting 11.7's. We already had the same problem when the F-15 was added, it's not gonna be magically fixed now... At least we're getting a new rank for potentially faster rising the max BR range.
I feel for these higher ranks the requirement for the next rank should be at most 3 vehicles because of the already high rank 8 costs for research and purchase
So i bought F-4S Phantom II pack 6 months ago for USA so i could use it to efficiently research whole USA air tree. Are you telling me that i will not be able to get full research bonus to WHOLE tree since you move some planes to new rank 9?
You ca research whole tech tree with full bonus. Rank IX is not here yet.
Can you tell us how many rank VIII aircraft will be required to start research of rank IX aircraft?

I currently have Talismaned Aircraft on Rank VII, those were planned and bought with the intend to research the Aircraft in Rank VIII. Will there be a partial refund (reduction of value) or extension of research efficiency to Rank VIII for existing Talismaned vehicle? Also Japan, will I be able to research and buy the JAS39C when i already have the F-16A OCU but not the F-5TH TCU?
I also bought talismans for several rank VII aircraft in the past 2 years, and I did so expecting that at some point rank IX would be introduced. This is unfortunate for us, but this is just something you have to keep in mind when purchasing talismans.
I'm sorry, but the F/A-18E and the F-15C Golden Eagle both being rank IX is probably the worst thing you guys could possibly do to those 2 jets. The F/A-18E was already DOA at it's BR what makes you think putting it up makes it better?

When are more advanced IR missiles planned? It's a bit odd we're running the basic R-73 from the 1980s on modern Russian planes and the AIM-9M on the British Typhoon instead of the ASRAAM, just to name two examples. I mean we basically have modern era active radar missiles right now, so why not let IR missiles catch up?
Very good for bringing tier IX to game. It would be great to see some low tier heavy tanks in Israel tech tree if possible.
Going to need to look again at your BR changes, you've got some real outliers harrier GR7 is being left at 13.0 in arcade putting it above the F15A's? Tornado GR4 at 12.7 alongside the F15A. Rejog to make progression a little more sensible is good but the BR's need a more extensive pass before implementation.
