Tankers! The damage model of non-armoured and lightly-armoured vehicles (with up to 25mm thickness of hull armour) has been refined in update 1.65.1.181. These vehicles have in fact, quite weak resistance when being hit by powerful high-explosive shells, like shells that contain 700g of TNT. To calculate the destructions for such vehicles, new mechanics have been added to the game - “Hull Break”. It means that the vehicle will be out of action when hit by shells with the capacity above the threshold.
Among those that are in the game, on the kinetic impact, hits with penetration of the shell of 150mm calibre on any part of the hull or turret (inclusive of the breech). Or even hitting following penetration of few structural elements of shells of small calibre, upwards of 75mm and higher. For HE shells, impacts by 75-76mm HE shells to the hull or turret will be effective. For large calibre HE shells (122-152mm) hits to chassis components will be counted as fatal. .
For greater clarity, it is planned to add the damage representation on the hit camera that will demonstrate the process of taking damage to the hull with such hits in one of the next updates.

noting was wrong with the old system giving you a fighting chance. I hate this hull break system it needs to be reverted back to the way it was before
122mm........why not 120mm to include the naval chi ha..... 2mm really make That much difference? Also why 122 mm anyway, seems like such an arbitrary number.
whelp time to add my FPZ 1 gepard to the top 10 useless vehicles list Because apparently getting hit in the tracks blows me apart
i hit a half track with an ap round and he suffered a hull break..it hit a bogey and thats all, it hit the underside and i guess shrapnel is enough to cause this? so then why is it that they can survive a direct hit anywhere else?
Glad to hear!
Looks like most of the Russian Tanks missed out AGAIN?? I see only the ASU-57 PT-76B, what about the others? and so the Germans Now have more hitting power that they don't need as they all knock over any thing in the game ?? Just an Idea shall we just all have German equipment? it gets boring after awhile.
If you're vehicle is destroyed by a hull break, it should be specifically mentioned, because ATM the killcam just says "tank burned down", even if you aren't set on fire
ZSU-37 so overpowered it is mentioned twice in the drop-down list)))))))
I agree with this adjustment for lightly armored vehicles as described. But what about all the one shot penetrations achieved on the heavily armored vehicles. To many time my Tiger and I-S has been penetrated by medium caliber 75 /76 MM through the frontal armor with one shot. It's as if the developers have disregarded armor as a defense. Historically the penetration model we are using now needs to be revamped , disregarded, or at the very least modified. Lets use our armor.
After reading the silverfox's post, I would like to propose this as far as aircraft ramming armored vehicles goes. If the player uses his aircraft to ram an opponent, the rammed armored vehicle should be awarded a kill and bonus for the destroyed aircraft. This would do a lot to end the senseless crashing that is not good game play or good for our game.
It will not end that crap. The one who crashed plane, should also lose his currently spawned tank.
