Today, the Dreams Come True event featuring the KV-7 as the main reward has started! While exciting as it is, it’s War Thunder’s 12th birthday this year, so we wanted to spice it up a bit for you. We’re happy to announce a few side activities related to the KV-7 and the game’s anniversary!
Your eyes don’t deceive you — there’s now a chance to win the famous IS-7. As it’s War Thunder’s 12th anniversary, we’re giving away IS-7 heavy tanks during our anniversary stream to 12 lucky winners through earned tickets during a new event. Read on!
Introducing the “Chasing the Older Brother” Event!
When: From November 15th (11:00 GMT) until November 18th (11:00 GMT), earn mission points in the “Chasing the Older Brother” event and get tickets for a chance to win the famous IS-7, added directly to your account.
The “Chasing the Older Brother” is an event with arcade levels of difficulty where everyone plays in a KV-7 vs KV-7 mode with no aircraft set on “classic” small maps: [Domination] Kuban, [Domination] Poland, [Domination] Eastern Europe, [Domination] Abandoned Factory, [Domination] Karelia, [Domination #1] Mozdok, [Domination] Advance to the Rhine, [Domination] Sinai, [Domination] Volokolamsk. Everyone has 3 respawns.
To participate in the Chasing the Older Brother event you need to own the KV-7, which is obtainable during the Dreams Come True event.
You can find this event under Events & Tournaments from the hangar.
Tickets
Let’s see what tickets are. 1 ticket is given for every 5,000 mission points earned in the “Chasing the Older Brother” event. Tickets are limited to 5 per day (a new day starts at 11:00 GMT), so the maximum amount of tickets you can acquire is 15.
You can track your daily progress by heading to your Profile > Achievements > “Chasing the older brother” section. Each ticket that you earn has its own unique ID in your inventory.
Here is a link to the full list of player IDs and ticket IDs. It will be removed after two weeks.
You can look up your ID in the list by first finding it on your profile page and then searching the file for it — all your tickets with corresponding IDs are in it.
Read below to see how tickets give you a chance to win the IS-7.
Tickets & How they can win you the IS-7 on the Anniversary Stream
How do earned tickets convert into a chance to win the IS-7? On November 22nd (16:00 GMT), we’re going to host an anniversary stream where among other things, this giveaway will take place with Mike and Tom being the hosts.
ID: 166771147, 68203021, 12421220, 15690456, 138071412, 50367629, 108935917, 8561703, 1890636, 80971772, 91001217, 45362359
Each ticket that you have will enter you into the giveaway draw. The more tickets you have, the higher chance you have of winning.
12 different winners will be drawn on stream — each will win the IS-7, added directly to their account! If a winner already owns the IS-7, we’ll contact them later to choose any pack from the Gaijin Store and another winner for the IS-7 will be redrawn on the stream.

Comments will be premoderatedSo I have to spend 3 whole days playing an event, that doesn't contribute to my grind, just to a 0,0000001% chance to receive an IS-7? That is just a waste of time.
So first you have to get the KV-7 which obviously needs some grinding and then do another event to collect tickets and have a minimal chance of winning an IS-7... if not thanks I think I'll just ignore this. This is already a blatant waste of time because they failed to put out a decent event vehicle.
A KV-7 event that wins IS-7? You sure you didn’t make a typo in one of your paragraphs?
No typo made! Earn the KV-7 during the current "Dreams Come True" event. Use that KV-7 in the “Chasing the Older Brother” event from November 15th to get up to 15 tickets. Any tickets you earned will be entered into a draw, the full list of all earned tickets from all players will displayed in this article through a link. Then Tom and Mike on November 22nd during our anniversary stream will draw 12 winners for the IS-7, which will be added directly to the winners account.
Magazine2, Ohhh I already have the is7 so what happens with that ?
Cool event, very limited chances tho as it's basically a lottery with extremely small odds but still kinda nice to see old vehicles coming back.
12 people is not a big amount of winners. I missed this event because by the time the game didn't explain really well to a newcomer what this is and why should I care about pop-up in-game news. There's a lot of people that play and don't know how events work because the game itself doesn't guide the player through a tutorialized process of introduction, so it's annoying that some of vehicles from previous events are unobtanium. Pak puma is one of the worst examples of it with 89 produced IRL..
i hate that type of event design. just give us a way to unlock the tanks we want to play with without locking them at a number of players
What if we miss the stream and our ticket gets drawn? Do we have to be present in order to confirm that we know we won, and/or will we get contacted later to finalise it?
We'll still add the IS-7 to your account if you get drawn and aren't present in the stream. But be sure to join the stream if you're able to! It'll be a fun time and there's Twitch Drops.
Too bad the IS7 isn't competitive anymore. Small ready rack, long reload times, and at a BR where everything you fight has HEAT and easily penetrates you. It was great when it first came out, then they uptiered it, and it is no longer worth taking unless you at the top BR in the match, but even then, plenty of 7.0 stuff pens it easily.
I love me some IS-7
what if we already have the is-7? will it be given as a coupon or will we get the 1m sl we normally get from getting a duplicate?
Says in the article: "If a winner already owns the IS-7, we’ll contact them later to choose any pack from the Gaijin Store and another winner for the IS-7 will be redrawn on the stream."
learn to read and have an attention span longer than 5 seconds. Geez!
