Tankers! The damage model of non-armoured and lightly-armoured vehicles (with up to 25mm thickness of hull armour) has been refined in update 1.65.1.181. These vehicles have in fact, quite weak resistance when being hit by powerful high-explosive shells, like shells that contain 700g of TNT. To calculate the destructions for such vehicles, new mechanics have been added to the game - “Hull Break”. It means that the vehicle will be out of action when hit by shells with the capacity above the threshold.
Among those that are in the game, on the kinetic impact, hits with penetration of the shell of 150mm calibre on any part of the hull or turret (inclusive of the breech). Or even hitting following penetration of few structural elements of shells of small calibre, upwards of 75mm and higher. For HE shells, impacts by 75-76mm HE shells to the hull or turret will be effective. For large calibre HE shells (122-152mm) hits to chassis components will be counted as fatal. .
For greater clarity, it is planned to add the damage representation on the hit camera that will demonstrate the process of taking damage to the hull with such hits in one of the next updates.

YAY Now all we need is the Italian Tech Tree!
You do realize that for tanks and planes alike, an accurate italian tech tree would go to 3.0 Br max
like how will this make high explosive better nobody uses it its only good to kill tucks wuith low armor and also tell why does high explosive bomnces some times from the side doesnt it supose to explode on inpackt and gaijin when will you fix BR and the match making i have to fight 7.7 tanks with my tiger 2 H and they have no problems killing me pls fix that first because its not fun to fight tanks that are higher BR then you
Slightly off topic, but Gaijin, are you planning on adding guns over 152mm?
Other than SPA, what vehicles used guns any bigger?
Ellros67, FV215b with 183mm and JgzPanzer E100 with 172mm I think. But both were just projects.
Wouldn't it be even cooler if we could make the enemy trucks jump away, rolling, when hit by HE shells, including Artillery shells? I love this new addition to the game, thank you Gaijin! It increases the realism to the game. :)
maybe now we won't see SPAA trucks, like Type 94 or 72-K and DShK GAZ MM, survive direct hits from high-caliber HE shells like when PhlyDaily shot a 72-K GAZ MM with a 120mm HE shell directly on the gun and the truck still survived
Oh yes, one of the best ground forces features. Finally my rounds won't go through aa vehicles and hellcats doing no damage <3
great addition it enraged me when i was shooting m18 or nashorns with the su 152 or is2 and they survived a direct hit. this will also make it easer to deal with aa vehicles as its infuriating when htey survived a jit that went straight through them as they had 2 crew left.
This makes sense; even though I've enjoyed trolling people with vehicles like the six-man M42, I've always thought to myself "yeah, this shouldn't be happening, I shouldn't be getting away with this" Same thing when I'm the one hitting a ZIS-43 with an HE shell from a 128mm cannon and it just carries on like it ain't no thang
I'm sorry but I can't agree to this mechanic fully as all it would take is a high calibre AP shell to clip a track if a vehicle and it is completely destroyed???. Same with the mention of the tier 5 gepard being on the list, when it is based on a tank chassis. This will leave high tier vehicles such as the gepard with little armor essentially no chance to gain decent RP and essentially become useless. Seems to me like another last man standing mechanic that will do more harm than good.
Well its cause 60% of the other players were complaining about their 152mm shell passing right through any AA's armour.
Although the gepard will become useless,(I don't really know about that part)It will probably benefit more people.
2 ZSU-37s? damn, must be a special one then to be mentioned twice XD
