Hi, soldiers!
Welcome to the Developer Q&A section, in which we’re going to publish our most exciting development plans and explanations about how the game mechanics work. Simply and concisely.
Read more in the Feedback and Developer Answers Compilation sections on our official forum.
Aircraft
Not within the next patch. Later, it is possible that we may add some of these aircraft.
It already works how you described in AB, the aircraft’s speed in a dive is limited by its maximum indicated airspeed, at which in RB the aircraft is destroyed. For the Yak-3 this is around 720 km/h indicated, while the true speed might be closer to 900 km/h.
Ground vehicles
Yes, we have plans for this. I don’t think you’ll have to wait very long.
Yes, we plan to expand the current tree for Japanese ground forces, primarily the addition of ATGM’s, which are missing in Japan, and of course, a top SPAAG.
We have plans for a SPAAG based on the BTR-152, but I don’t think it will be at such a high BR.
That isn’t always the case. For many tanks, APCRs provide a significant increase in their ability to knock out targets that were previously invulnerable to them.
It’s possible that this will be changed during the next BR change and economy recalculation.
We don’t currently have plans for this.
We arrived at the current repair speeds, including for SB, based on the results of reviews in part from players themselves. Initially, the time was much longer. We have no plans to change this.
There are certain difficulties with this, but we still plan to implement the feature.
It is possible that we will add other tanks of the Chinese nation in the form of promotional or premium tanks.
Work on the sounds in game is ongoing. So it is possible.
Yes there are several features we’d like to implement for aircraft. First of all - we will continue creating operating canopies, secondly we are working on animated chassis parts, thirdly - a more realistic bombsight, as for the visuals - we’d like to add exhaust stack flame.
Navy
The shells do fly much farther of course, it’s just that the rangefinder doesn’t provide a ballistic solution for the angle of elevation at distances greater than 3 km. This is a temporary issue that wasn’t particularly problematic for boat skirmishes with automatic cannons, but has become important on large and open maps.
General
We don’t have any such plans at the moment. It is to imitate this divide that tankers don’t die from any impact, but only from a threshold impact or several small ones that break the threshold together.

hello can to put sturmtiger in war thunder?
It would be so fun to play
yeas Sturmtiger needs to crush the freaqin OP Noob ATGM;s!
Are you planning to add wwII Yugoslavia flag? There is a flags of some other countries that existed during the wwII so it would be nice to have this one also.
hey Gaijin, I know I've asked it before on the shooting range. But can you maybe make it so that if you're capturing a zone, that you'll get points based on how long you've been in the cap circle? Because it happens quite often to me (and I'm pretty sure I'm far from the only one) that I have been capturing the zone for quite some time, just to get killed at the very last moment. And then once the zone is captured, you don't get any credit for it at all.
Yeah no kidding! also make a incentive to make the fighter pilots actually protect the bombers! they wont if it is just a suggestion!
any plans for german m47 or any other bundeswehr tanks?
Germmany needs a 7.3 and fast
And DDR tanks (just because I love Cold War Soviet tanks, Bundeswehr is still no. 1).
Is this StuG IV every planned? It could be a sub-tree of the StuG 3 g.
I have been wondering this myself. Maybe as a premium? Or could they be waiting to give it to a future Italian tree? (I know the Italians never actually used the StuG IV, but then again neither did the Japanese use the Tiger)
I'm 99% sure that they said no to the StuG IV unfortunately.
What about Japanese gun sounds for Japanese tanks? Any plans about that?
I want to hear new sounds for them too, they sound like the germans
We also need minefields to protect spawns in Ground battles where your team can see where to go to avoid the mines but when enemys come to spawn camp they will be destroyed. Idk just something, anything at all to deter spawn camping. I know we get a few seconds of invulnerability but when there are multiple enemies at your spawn a few seconds is worthless at the most you can take out one enemy tank before they destroy you and thats with a good shot.
Repair times use to be really long and that was frustrating yes. But that doesn't mean that the opposite extreme is better. Especially when now damage model is much less lethal, the frustration just transferred to the attacker. Especially if he has to use solid shot and snipe each member with reload time not much faster than crew agile switch. That leads to truly bitter moments when the attacker lose even if outplayed the target.
Yeah I wish they would've said something about World War mode, and also about the much requested BR re-evaluation. Especially for the U.S. I'd much rather have them fix what they already have rather than create new things that'll eventually get nit-picked by the community over and over again just creating even MORE work. But I suppose I can't complain that they're working on stuff that'd still be essential
Yes. Fix your game, Gaijin. Fix the arcade bomber spam. Fix the invisible tanks. Fix the wonky damage modeling in air and ground forces. Fix the wonky RNG that allows you to one shot everything one day, and shoot cotton balls the next. Fix the ahistorical ammo issues, and the erroneous armor values, and decide for good whether HEAT-FS should be buffed or nerfed or both and then stick with it. Please please create an entire patch devoted simply to fixing the content you already have.
Are the brits going to get the chieftain mk 5/4? As brits only get one competitive 8.0 currently
Hope they do. Although the Chieftains good you have no other real competitive tanks to hope in if you die in the Chieftan.
squidtaylor, Well, there is the centurion mk10
