You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

So, is it safe to say that this is a replacement of the Last Man Standing system?
Does it still activate automatically if you havnt used it? I hineslty don't mind it as a game mechanic, but im hoping that function of the trauma pack would have been removed.
Did you ever read the article?
OHHHH YIIIZ i cant wait to research this in EVERY tank i have you know SUPER FUN grinding and even more on tier V where it will cost over 30000pi and loss even more sl to buy this WONDERFUL non expensive just like heatfs rounds In all seriousness why WHY cant this be bought without being researched
great i have to re spade about 100 tanks
Lucky you ... I WOULD have to "respade" 172 tanks ... NO THANK YOU!!! ... this time without me, passionate collector or not ... what's next? Magic potion or Manna?
YAY lucky us now we get to re-spade every dam tank again...... or will War Thunder just give us the mod's and leave all the tanks spaded? I have every tank for the British,Russian & Germans with 98% spaded and every U.S tank up to the T92 and now I have to start spading them again thanks
So what your telling me you are bring back final stand "GREAT" I really didn't want to just have to shoot a tank once and done now I have to shoot it 3-5 times to kill it depending on the tank thanks Gaijin. Not really Just make it so you can only use it with 2 crew left and not 1 because that is just final stand and I don't want it in RB. Overall its a good idea just don't make it final stand like it looks like in the picture.
Finally, but I shall not use it when I'm in an Russian or German Tank, Coz they fight till the death.
I think a lot of people here have more of a problem with how crew works in general. They way I see it atm is that they are invincible and can at the very most be knocked out from being directly shot with a cannon, at least that's how it seems to work guessing from the in-game text and the fact that crew training stays the same even if somebody blows you up. Maybe this could be integrated better if we had sensible crew mechanics.
Disappointing to see LMS being put back in with a disguise. It's not about being "too hardcore", it's just tanks being harder to kill than they need to be.
lloll....""med pack" just lloll
