You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

I get the idea, but the execution of it is horribly poor. For one, LMS was widely disliked and there were several forum polls with heavy support to remove it. The second problem is that it's completely unbelievable. You might as well call it a necromancy module because it makes absolutely zero sense. I would very much prefer a "extra crewmember" module where you can replace a knocked out crew member with a new, healthy crew member at an objective after a small wait. It makes sense.
Do they work like spare parts an fire extinguishers? Do I have to buy a new pack after battle when I used one? Do they bring back DEAD people or just knocked out people?
i really dont know
It's a research module... not a token... answer your question?
i like it. it will save my life and why dont you like it ToxicSight?
Because RB/SB players want REALISTIC conditions in battles. Necromancy was good in Warcraft, but this is not that game!
Kulcsos12, I just play AB and i don't like it. So stop with that SB/RB crap.
but i like it
Maybe in RB and arcade this is good, but in sim tanks should be less durable, not more, and there should be a STRONG
Maybe in RB and arcade this is good, but in sim tanks should be less durable, not more, and there should be a STRONG incentive to bail out.
This is a straight up wonky addition, why not just stuff an extra crew member in each tank, that's basically what this is. I'm sorry, but the people that complained so much to make an addition such as this come to form, really need to learn how to lose gracefully! This really alters the fundamentals of GF.....negatively...
If this option was supposed not to be on RB/SB it this way wouldn't ache. Personally I would to change the pair of the thing: - One crew member = death, end of the game. - Possibility of the treatment / of supplementing only on points for the takeover or starting. - I am not sure whether inserting it on SB isn't contrary to the idea of this mode.
Can I have this on my planes, when my pilot is knocked out so I can revive mid air?
please yes
Oh just cry more, one crew member PER BATTLE is not even slightly as bad as last man standing, the overexaggeration of this community is over the top.
I know right?
bring it then
