You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

I don't get why everyone's making a big deal out of this. They're consumables, so just don't buy them if you don't want them
It is the very first time that I comment a planned adittion to WT, since I am a very happy player. But now I really do think, the trauma pack isn't an improvement, quite the contrary. I would understand, when a surviving driver would be allowed to return his tank to a spawnpoint, where he might get some new crewmembers of a virtual camp somewhere close. And I would anderstand, if wounded crewmembers could be first aided. But not revived. This realy makes no sence!
Players: "Havign to reasearch FPE and parts for every new tank is incredibly annoying and tedious. Especialy on high tier tanks." Gaijin: "So here is yet another essential consumable you need to research on every tank. xaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxaxa))))))))))))))" Seriosuly Gaijin? I think i wil lspeak for the majority here if I say: https://youtu.be/CXpuRIZzJog
Why is it an automatic kind of thing? Why can't it be manual, say if it's only your driver and gunner and you want to bring back your loader? And has no one suggested being able to replace dead crew members by going back to the spawn point? Not bring your dead crew back to life, but replace them with stock crew. (Stock as in if you hadn't invested and skill points into them.)
I would be fine with this if it could only be used in captured cap circles or spawn points
"Vasily, I appear to have been hit by a 128mm APCBC shell, that has exploded inside of chest" "о нет. Не волнуйтесь, я могу это исправить" "Here Vasily, grab this medkit and put the 300 pieces of my body back together" If only T-34's in WW2 had these trauma kits, maybe they wouldn't have a 9% survival rate))))))))
Sorry)) Is of my mistake. I mean 109% survival rate. 9% is western propaganda))))
I personally think this shouldn't be a modification, rather you should be able to heal/get new crew at capture points like ammunition. This would help better control the strategic impacts it would have on the battlefield.
Spawn point should be ammo and (rookie) crew refilling station, capture points can remain ammo refilling stations still also.
I need a pack right now, this annoucement traumatized me...
Dressing is important too
