You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

Honestly, i like it, it gives a longer life to SPAA who only have 2 crew. idk why no one likes it because you can only use it with 1 crew member left, so if you blow up the engine then everyone dies in the tank. As for last man standing, i kind of liked it as if i were the last person in a still operational tank, and all my buddies were dead, then yeah I would fire every round into the enemy tanks until i was dead.
Exactly I'd rather die firing the cannon at those that killed my crewmates rather than getting gunned down running like a bitch
First, there are as far as I know less than a handful of vehicles with only 2 crew members. Second, a low number of crew members is simply a weak spot of the vehicle which is influencing its battle rating like other characteristics. If you want to survive several penetrating hits with a nutshell, there is another game that is almost the same besides this aspect...
IMHO, last-man-standing had a realistic feel. On the other hand, resurrecting-crew-member-anywhere-on-the-field does not. :(
I liked the Idea of LMS, but I play arcade and I don't recall it being in arcade..
ACunningLinguist, IDK, I play tanks in RB mode so I could tell it was there and it was buggy. Nevertheless I liked the idea as it offered more tactical opportunities against CS:GO pace/style players.
I finally have a chance to recover my gunner!
Would rather have the last man standing. It's more realistic.
no it is not... not LMS no Trauma/Jesus pack and NO crew replacement on 2x2km maps, short tanks clash it is not the Battle of Kursk...
Tier is rank, rental is test drive and medkit is trauma pack. Original Content, Do Not Steal™ I've never seen anyone requesting this. Is there even such a feature suggestion?
Hello, Gaijin staff. I look forward to seeing this implementation :) As a small reccomendation, maybe this Trauma Pack should be a Tier 4 module instead of Tier 3? This small change may allow a better balancing, knowing the nature of its use.
Also, ToxicSight, if you were a dev, and you had this super awesome idea, what would you think If 50% of your players liked it and the other 50% didn't? Its really not your choice what you put into the game, and if you don't like it, play something else instead. After all, there are tons of games to play
This is how games like War Thunder start to decline. No one calls or messages an organization when you're happy with something, they do when they have complaints though. As far as Gaijin's concerned, people have been pining for this. It's there stupid fault for not limiting it to AB, or realizing that they're slowly becoming World of Tanks.
Here's an idea. It'd be better if you were at 2 crew members you can use the pack to recover the loader or something, but the tank still gets destroyed if there's only 1 crew member left.
all the sb and rb players say give it to ab. i play mostly ab as i prefer its faster pace and is more fun if im playing alone than rb is to me. anyway i can say without a doubt i DONT want this necromancy spell in ab either.
