You are an excellent warrior with a score of burning enemies in your wake, but your many trials have left only your driver and gunner unhurt. And the enemy is hot on your heels. «Oh, if only I had a second chance. I’d show them!» - Now you do have a second chance! We are pleased to present an improvement to gameplay in War Thunder tank battles – a trauma pack for the crew.
In Update 1.59 ‘Flaming Arrows’, any ground vehicle can be equipped with a trauma pack,
which allows you to bring one crew member per vehicle per battle back into the action.
The trauma pack can be obtained like any ordinary consumable module in the vehicle research menu and is spent in battle automatically when only one crew member is left in your tank. If you have no trauma pack or have spent it, your vehicle will be considered destroyed when there are less than two crew members left, as before. The mechanics are the same for all modes.
Use this new chance and lead your team to victory, whatever happens!
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team
Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead.
There are already multiple ideas in internal discussion also based on your suggestions, and we'll be happy to hear your feedback once again as soon as we have more information to share.
We'd like to thank everyone who took his time to leave his constructive feedback on the topic! Be invited to leave your further ideas and suggestions in the respective areas.

So, those of You who did Military service never learned Self- and Comrade Aid? Was one of the most important Lessons during my German MP Basic Training. Now You get the possibility to use such in combat, as an Aid measure, and the only thing You do is complaining. Taken reality as base, who said the hit was the whole core and penetrated the body in a spot that is straight deadly? We all know the Hit cam is not 100%! Yet, based on it you say dead, knowingly denying the possibility of if!
Gaijin does have a scale of injuries, however. Anywhere from a very light injury to "knocked out" (i.e. dead). If it only applied to lighter injuries, I personally wouldn't have an issue with it. Love the implementation of a med pack, but not resurrecting a dead crew member.
great! now, tiger, panther, tortoises would have 9 lives!
Plus T95!
From what it looks like you get 1 pack that revise 1 guy only when you have 2 or 1 guy in the tank.
No Thanks. I guess I'll be headed back to planes for awhile.
No thanks, how about crew replacements at spawn instead?
Why ? did any player asked for such feature ? the GF is already arty and Bombers spam ..... it is a bad idea don't do it , we don't need a 2nd chance in semi-sim tank game , for once gaijin let your pride aside and roll back this feature , you damaged this game enough you do more and it will die forever .
you know what? I don't give a crap about all this junk, it's only a game, so you should treat it like a game, and not full-out war. Games should be fun, but realistic. I think this is ok as an update. Games definitely have to have a point, and besides, if you like your War Thunder realistic, play SB. Thats what it's for. Arcade and Realistic are O.K. with these features, but I think realistic battles should cut the crap and make it real. I don't have a side, I just want to play War Thunder.
Well. If people aren't having fun with this feature then what will it be?
Honestly, this along with the spare parts and fire extinguisher SHOULD be available from the start, but nevertheless this is a welcome addition to the game, even if I don't play tanks a whole lot.
Might be good for arcade battles but I think it is not that suited for realistic and simulator gamemode. Not even "Panzerschokolade" can heal a german tankman after he is piered by a 8,5 cm shell...
No hate or complain but here's how I imagine it: *Commander's head get rekt by high caliber shell* *Uses Trauma Pack* *Commander resurrect and ready to die again*
Why would you even revive your commander
Turbulenz_JP, Because you suck at this game? XD
