Asymmetrical Battles Await You In the “Advance” Event!

We’d like to invite you to participate in the “Advance” event! This is an asymmetrical battle where one team must capture all the points on the map, while the other defends them. Capturing key points decides the outcome of the battle, and familiar locations are revisited in a new tactical perspective.
, look for “Advance” in the “Events and Tournaments” tab.
How the event works
- The event takes place in Arcade and Realistic Battles on the Port Novorossiysk, Maginot Line and Volokolamsk” maps.
- Each point belongs to the defending team at the time of activation.
- The points are activated sequentially, one at a time. After the attackers capture the current point, the next one is activated.
- The capture points alternate in their functionality: A, C, and E (key points) are small in size but take a long time to capture; B and D (intermediate points) completely cover the defenders' previous spawn zone, making them much larger in size than the key points, but they are captured significantly faster. After capturing an intermediate point, a new spawn point becomes available for the attackers to attack the next key point, while the previous spawn point is disabled.
- Capturing the last key point (E) or eliminating all defenders results in victory for the attackers.
- Holding the points for the duration of the mission or eliminating all attacking players results in victory for the defending team.
- The number of spawns per player is limited and differs between the defending and attacking teams.
- The maximum number of players per team is not the same.
- Spawning in ground vehicles in Realistic Battles does not require Spawn Points, however spawning in aircraft does.
- Repeated spawns are available, without requiring a backup vehicle.
Event Features
- To queue for the event, you need ground vehicles with a Battle Rating of 4.7–5.7.
- Vehicles with a Battle Rating of 3.7–5.7 are allowed in the battle itself — meaning you can add lower-BR vehicles to your lineup.
And finally, Attack the D point!

Sound good... Goooood.
Disappointed it was only added for a Battle Rating of 4.7–5.7. I am not touching low/mid tier vehicles. Next time please consider adding it for all Battle Ratings. :/
In fairness it makes it much easier to test a single BR range initially than to have an entire century of technology to balance around.
High tier players got Nuclear Thunder, so low tier player also deserve to have some fun. Preferably these would both have high and low tier versions, but this is how things are.
I love you Gaijin! Thanks for bringing this fun mode back at last!
If you want us to play your tests, I'd recommend you make the rewards and progression meaningful.
If you do not like the idea behind the event, you can still play random battles or any other event available currently. Our intention is not to "force" you to play this "for rewards".
Some more things I want to say on the matchmaker, obviously if we could have axis VS allies it would be nice but I understand that's not always possible. I think, at this moment, the German side is a bit too strong, you won't see that in the stats since they are also usually newer players but the Tiger has almost no competition in firepower or armor and especially both. IS-1, Jumbo 75, challenger and others can either maybe pen it or maybe not get killed, tiger can do usually both to them.
I really like the concept — it offers a different style of play and encourages teamwork, at least until people leave and the teams become unbalanced. I think it’s a solid decision from the snail and a nice addition overall. Between this and Nuclear Escalation, I’ve been having a lot of fun. The rewards aren’t amazing, sure, but it is 5.7 BR WW2. I’ve already spaded the Hummel in just 6 matches, so it’s really not too bad.
Can you say whether or not we'll be getting an SL crate with an upcoming event? Haven't had one for a while it feels like
Which upcoming event? The one from the article? There are no special rewards in it.
Stona_WT, I was wondering if there is a near future event which will come the chance to buy some 60,000 SL reward crates
oh hey this mode is back
at least something new to do though i would love world war to return
