HMS Dido: The Peacemaker
HMS Dido is the lead ship of her class of light cruisers, built for the Royal Navy in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Having seen extensive service in the Mediterranean and Atlantic, HMS Dido is now headed for the naval battles of War Thunder and will become available to seasoned captains in the upcoming major update 1.85!
War Thunder update 1.85, which we’ve called "Supersonic", introduces a new kind of weapon into the game: air-to-air missiles. We’d like to tell you a little more about them in this Developer Diary entry.

New Location: Vietnam Hills
Several updates ago, we’ve introduced a new air battles location set in Vietnam, which helicopter pilots were able to try out first. In the upcoming update 1.85, tankers too will have the chance to fight in the densely built up towns, ancient ruins and lush jungles of Vietnam!
Type 89: The Fire Dragon
The Type 89 is a Japanese infantry fighting vehicle, developed during the 1980s by the Mitsubishi company and used by the JSDF in limited numbers. Japanese tankers in War Thunder can look forward to the addition of the nimble Type 89 to the game with the upcoming update 1.85!
