Stanislaw Skalski was born on November 27^th 1915, in Kodyma in modern day Ukraine. Following the Russian Revolution in 1917, Skalski’s father sent him, along with his mother, to Zbaraz – then in Poland. His father joined them in 1921 after making his way through Romania.

The 1950s saw a massive leap in the technological development of aircraft. The dawn of the jet age in the later part of the 1940s was in full force during the 50’s, however whilst much had changed, it was the design philosophy of a 1944 Air Ministry requirement that gave way to one of the RAFs most successful aircraft and bomber design in history.

We invited several popular YouTube authors to ride on real US tanks and compare the feelings to virtual US tanks in War Thunder.
The event took place in Museum of American G.I. in Texas – the same place where we recorded engine and gun sounds for some US vehicles in our game.

We present to you the winners of our current War Thunder Skin Competition - December week 3 winners (15th-21st December).

Willy Jähde was born in Helmsdof on January 18th 1908. At the age of 18 he joined the Reichswehr; his first unit was the 6th Prussian Automotive Division, based out of Hanover. When the Germans rearmed in 1934 he was promoted to Leutnant. Over the next few years he carried on rising through the ranks, eventually becoming a company commander in the 7th Panzer Division by the start of the Second World War.
