Bullet Hell: The Old Fashioned Way!
Pilots with a bunch of fancy missiles. Without them, what are you? You’ll have the chance to find out in the new Bullet Hell event, a team deathmatch style mode where you fight in toptier jets with just cannons. No missiles allowed!
Take part in this two-day event and show what you’re worth when just using aircraft guns.
When: November 19th (11:00 GMT) until November 21st (11:00 GMT).
Where: Events and Tournaments -> Bullet Hell.
How does Bullet Hell work?
Bullet Hell pits two teams of eight against each other in modern jet aircraft with just cannons as weaponry. The first team to destroy 20 enemy aircraft wins!
Event Features
- All secondary weapons that you bring into a battle (except for cannons) will be automatically discarded when you spawn in. External fuel tanks can be used in battle in a loadout consisting of them alone or with them and cannons.
- Each pilot has 3 respawns available.
- Any aircraft with a Battle Rating from 12.7 to 14.3 can participate.
- Battles take place in Realistic mode with markers.
- You can replenish fuel and ammunition at the spawn point.
- Spawning with a vehicle requires Silver Lions, which are returned at the end of the battle if your aircraft wasn’t destroyed. The number of Silver Lions returned depends on the vehicle’s condition.
- You can earn research points and Silver Lions in battles in this event.

Hearing that comment makes me can't wait to go try it but there is just one thing WHY would they start this on the same exact day as a R400 Fast and Dangerous Event ? Have REALLY good guesses why but not going to blast them out here. So can't wait to log in and try this BULLET HELL thing.
Hopefully this will become a permanent addition to the game. This is something I, and I'm sure many others, have been asking for for years. Huge W
Honestly? Hell yeah I always think to myself when I'm in a flanker or one of the eurocanards that I dont get to use the guns enough :(
Unlikely, gaijin said they where working on a strategic bombers game mode, still hasn't come yet, I think they are adding this to relive some of the pressure on top tier players who want top tier but guns only.
And now please make it a permanent mode. All these missiles are ruining the fun of flying.

Like many have said, I'd love to see this stay, or return frequently with slightly different battle ratings each time. I've wanted a guns only mode to really utilize some attack aircraft that get turned into missile trucks. Would love to show what I know in the Jaguar, F-104, and Alpha Jet. I'm sure the MiG-23BN would be killer out there too!

Is this like SEAD in terms of aircraft or does a player need to bring their own aircraft? I love dogfighting but don't have >modern< jets... would've been nice to experience them without missile thunder
You need to bring your own aircraft.
